The freshest, seasonal, varieties of fruits and vegetables abound - but sell fast! Delicious local "canned" fruits, vegetables, jams, and pickled products rotate off the shelves quickly. Local eggs, fresh herbs, and milk fill the frig, while dried nuts, beans, candies, honey, homemade fried pies and bread, huge fresh bags of tortilla chips and dips, and homemade tamales tempt the timid and tenacious! Seasonal flowers, melons, and firewood overflow the porches. The parking lot gets busy, but they're open hours accommodate the locals just fine.
