We have participated in Thornfield CSA shares since the first season, and can't imagine a better CSA experience. The variety of produce and the quality are excellent. Each year there are some new variations, and we look forward to special delicacies like fresh edamame, or strawberries picked at the perfect height of their sweetness.

The size of the share distribution is very generous by many CSA standards, based on shares we see friends collect from other organizations. From the peak picking weeks, we are able to flash-freeze and stock our freezer with green beans for the winter. We just shared a Thornfield green bean dish with friends in January. We also love the variety of tomatoes, which seem to be a specialty. Last summer we made a rainbow-themed caprese appetizer, using Thornfield red, yellow, orange and green fresh tomatoes.

As anyone who enjoys CSA shares probably knows, the freshness and flavor of these vegetables are far superior to any produce you can find in stores.
