Oxen Hill Farm

My husband and I got the half share. Almost every week, our entire kitchen table would be filled with produce. We had enough to eat fresh and enough to pickle, make soups, stews and sauce to freeze. The variety of produce is so varied, you never get bored. They provide a swap out option so if you don't want something, you can put it in a pile in exchange for another item in that pile. They provided weekly recipes and cleaning and storage tips. They had a chef on site making different dishes with your weekly share so you had ideas for new ways to prepare the foods. The staff are friendly, health conscious and knowledgable about the produce. Sometimes they had extra veggies that you could buy more of, if you wanted. At $20 and change a week, why buy from a grocery store that isn't local, fresh, Non GMO and USDA Certified Organic? I feel good supporting a local, family owned business. 2014 was our first year, and we will continue to renew every year. Thank you Oxen Hill, you ROCK.
