They sell "pastured" chicken eggs (not to be confused with simple free range), amazing braided bread (delicious) and they set up a drink cooler for overheated, dehydrated people to stop and get a cup of cold water. On the day I stopped there, it was a scorcher outside and they encouraged me just to help myself, even if I wasn't buying anything.
I could see the hens which laid their eggs browsing the field at the side and back of the farmhouse, mostly keeping to shady spots when I saw them.
It was funny watching the goats and chickens together. The chickens followed the goats around and kept the flies and other insects down by grabbing them out of the air. The goats, I was told, keep hawks from coming in to grab a chicken.
A pleasant experience overall
