Granny's Garden School

So many benefits for community members (not to mention the programs available for the schoolkids). Just a few: the annual plant sale in May covers a broad array of plants--vegetables as well as both perennials and annuals--for reasonable prices. The summer harvester program is a great buy for continuous produce throughout the summer--loved the different types of lettuce, the peas, cucumbers, and tomatoes among others; it also feels good to get the plots ready for the schoolkids in the fall. One other great activity is picking bouquets. So much less expensive and even fresher than local stores for a fantastic bouquet! Proceeds all go to the non-profit to continue their school programs.
