Farmers' Market in Historic Downtown Independence, Kansas

2016 was an amazing year for the market in downtown Independence. We had a total of 35 vendors this year, averaging 17 vendors per market. Most of our vendors sold out nearly every market. We had a wonderful variety of produce and products, truly too many to mention. We also had musical entertainment, much to the delight of our customers.Our plans are to open in mid May for 2017. We end "officially" at the end of July, and extend on a week to week basis through August.This is due to availability of local produce. Vendors must live within a 75 mile radius of Independence and either grow/make their own produce/products or have a resellers permit, which means they are selling for someone who meets those requirements.
