I weighed each of my 1-cup bags upon arrival. One weighed 5 3/4 ounces and the other weighed 5 3/8 ounces. They ARE the advertised volume. I originally thought the listing might have been meant to say 5. lbs, except that 5+ ounces in packaging is nowhere near 8 ounces. I notified the seller and I hope that they will modify the listing to be accurate. In the meantime, buyer beware.
The meats themselves appear to be of good quality.

I did try to clarify in the listing that the cracked meats were from 1#1 -1/2 #s of nuts before cracking and picking the nutmeats by hand and that each cup weighed about 5.3 oz , The nut meats are then further selected to be only the largest pieces .. These are top quality hand done work not done by machines . They are also immediately refrigerated . I am sorry for any confusion.

I changed the wording to make it more clear .The weights reflect the before picking out and after picking out the nutmeats by hand. It is really offered as a service for those too busy to do it themselves. I also sift the nutmeats so only the largest pieces are sent. They are refrigerated immediately as well.
