Whitley Farms

Good experiences in the past until we ran into the owner this past trip. Started us off with a stern warning not to sample even tho most farms allow tasting. Then as we were picking she flagged us down to complain about crossing through plants (even though we didn't, I guess it looked like we did from so far away). My 2 yr old tried to pick strawberries out of season and only got rotten berries off the ground and other inedible plant parts. We rang up TEN lbs of blueberries for $80 and she made us pay for my son's handful of "strawberries." I tried to show her they were inedible, but she didn't care. It was only $1, but the principle of making us pay for garbage is over the top. I left it for her to throw away. Then she started in on us about the size of the umbrellas we used for shade on the blisteringly hot day. We didn't bump into any of her bushes, but she said next time we need to bring smaller ones. Lady, there will be no next time with your incessant nit picking and complaining.
