Whitley Farms

I had the most RACIST experience at Whitley Farms. I was completely disrespected by the woman who claims to own the strawberry patch. My sister and I drove almost 2 hours to the farm with my daughter for an early Mothers Day adventure. When arriving to the farm we heard Whitley inform guest in front of us that they were no longer allowing guest to pick strawberries. That was not an issue for my sister and I . My sister decided to purchase strawberries and we decided we would at least let my 2 year old toddler enjoy the weather and the play around a little. Before walking the grounds I asked an employee if the baskets were for sale. The employee informed me I would need to ask the owner. The owner informed me the baskets were $2. I got back in line to buy the basket just to carry the strawberries my sister had already purchased. Whitley was helping another CX alongside another employee ringing everyone up. When I stepped to the register Whitley walked away so I waited for the family in front of me. When I got to the register to purchase from the other employee the situation got tense. Whitley informed me again that I was not able to pick berries. I informed her that was alright I just wanted to put the berries I purchased in the bag. She goes on to get frustrated by my response. She then goes on to tell me that although I can't pick I need to now pay for entry into the farm on top of the basket . I informed her we already walked in and purchased berries . Whitley still wanted me to pay, I tell her that's fine and go to pay for entry and the bucket. She continues being rude and saying how they had too many people and the strawberries cant be picked. I say again I understand. I then tell her "I wish she would stop speaking to me" That set the Owner Whitley off. She then tells me I can't speak to her in that way that this was her farm and I need to ,Quote "GET OFF HER LAND" that's she's the owner and I don't tell her what to do. (As a black woman/person why couldn't she just ask me to leave , why was I told to "GET OFF HER LAND")I didn't want to turn this into a show so I didn't pull out my camera originally. I was so calm at the beginning even though I did make the drive to see the farm. Whitley didn't stop after I grabbed my family to get in the car, She made sure the employees and the guest heard her . It felt like she was openly attempting to shame me and make it a situation to embarrass me and my family. I am absolutely disgusted with the way this women/owner of this business treated me and my family. I will never go back
