Honey Glen refused to sell a 5-gallon bulk honey bucket to me because I was going to make mead with it. While I respect a company's conviction to not sell products and services that go against their beliefs, I also believe in a free market that has consequences for those actions. Thus a poor review for being judgemental against their customer base. Also, this is a bad practice that hurts local economies and businesses. They also offered to get us in contact with another beekeeper, and didn't. I guess holding to their word is not part of their conviction.
If local is going to refuse someone willing to pay nearly 2x for a product due to their their own conviction to support local, don't complain when customers go to big business for half price.
