Forest Hills Greenmarket

My friends and I are tired of buying everything in plastic and full of pesticides/herbicides. We found this farmer's market and decided to check it out. There was one fruit vendor who had several kinds of apples and one type of pear. A vegetable vendor had kale, wilted broccolirab, acorn squash that wasn't fresh. Not much to choose from. A few bread vendors. After we travelled in the cold to get there, we found out that nothing is organic. They contained pesticides. A mushroom vendor claimed her products were organic, but they were not labeled as organic. You had to take her word. What is the point of buying locally grown if it's full of chemicals? Needless to say, we won't be returning there.
