It's easily the best farmers' market run in Spokane for the past two decades. It deserves wider success

The Spokane Farmers Market is a wonderful place to find fresh locally grown products and meet the farmers in our region.

It's a wonderful place to shop for fresh, local produce and other items such as soap or candles. The vendors are helpful and friendly and the live music is great. Shopping at the Spokane Farmer's Market is one of my favorite summer activities.

spokane farmers market has helped us to financially maintain our 7 acre orchard by promoting the mission and values of a farmers market. The market is independently run by farmers who have the customers' best interest and needs in mind. They do this by providing an assortment sustainably grown fruits and vegetables to the spokane community at large and provide education as it pertains to good nutrition.

I'd like to see the market enlarge and be housed in a space Spokane would likely be proud of.

I believe in whole, local foods, produced and eaten seasonally. This supports both the farmers and the public by increasing the monetary and physical health of all. Keeping land for food production is of paramount importance, and increased awareness of this fact grows naturally out of shopping at a farmer's market.

Organic, fresh produce, great baked goods, people who believe in sustainability and supporting local business, what more could a community ask for.

I love supporting our local organic farmers and eating the freshest produce available. It is a great to get to know who is producing our food. They are a wonderful group of people, who are serious about what they do. We appreciate them everyday for what they provide our family.

The cooperative market has survived over 10 years through changes in leadership, location and weather, but continues to provide seasonal locally grown, mostly organic produce, baked goods, flowers, skin products, honey and beeswax candles, wool, vegetable and ornamental plant starts, and more. It's a meeting place for the community, supporting small local producers.

First, I'm not going to go into detail about the aweful location and parking. I could forgive that if there was more to this market. This market should be THE market for Spokane shoppers but it has failed to cultivate a following.
The vendors are solid. There is an okay selection of produce, baked goods and fresh flowers. What truly is lacking at this market is atmosphere. Each time I've been to the market, I've spend about 10 minutes. Jump out of the car, buy produce, jump back into the car. I can get that experience at a grocery store. Farmer Markets should be a place to linger on a Saturday morning as you meet your local farmers, connect with old friends, meet new ones and show your kids what it means to be a farmer.
What is needed here are places to sit down, better (longer) hours, greater diversity of vendors (perhaps local artisans, handcrafters, food vendors). Activities for kids, music for adults. Turn the SPOKANE market into a meeting place for the residents of SPOKANE.
I'm more disappointed in this market than others, simply because the Spokane Farmers Market has the resources and talent to improve. There are smaller communities with better markets in the area, time to examine what they are doing right and what can be done better.
The organizers of this market need to spend a weekend in the Farmers Markets of the Seattle area to see how a well organized community minded market can bring a community together and foster a sense of neighborhood.

The Spokane Farmers' Market is a great Market. The farmers are friendly and have a great variety of local produce, meat, and breads. The quality is the best you will find anywhere. They accept WIC and Senior Farmers' Market Nutrition Program vouchers, as well as EBT and Debit and Credit cards.
Parking might be a bit tricky, especially if it is busy, but it will be worth it.
