My wife and I went looking for fresh produce ,arriving around 2:40,,walked around a bit and then went to buy a couple of things and were curtly told by 2 different vendors that they WERE NOT YET OPEN!....This in spite of opened sign on the sidewalk announcing that "The farmer's market is open".
We decided to leave and won't be going back.We have been to 2 other markets where we received a much better welcome.

totally dedicated to bringing healthy food (organic, fresh) to neighborhoods. How about some stimulus dollars for all organic farmers in the USA? If they got what the "food" industry gets, we'd all be healthy!

I really enjoy this market. There is always something new and the growers and producers are very helpful. I have even started planning my trips into town around this market. It is worth it!

There's a real community atmosphere. It's a social event to go to the market! And the produce is fresh, affordable and accessible to many people through food stamps, wic vouchers, etc.

This market is one of the only markets in town that accepts Food Stamps and WIC vouchers, helping to make local food accessible to our community.

Santa Cruz River Farmers' Market consistently offers a wide variety of locally grown produce and others items. The atmosphere is friendly and welcoming and often includes musical accompaniment. Special events (e.g. the recent solar cooking demo) are frequent and useful. Also, Chef Kip serves up delicious, easy-to-prepare fare on the spot every so often. It is truly a Tucson fixture!

Besides selling fresh veggies, they have cool demonstrations on green living, sell and exchange plants and seed.
