This weekly food subscription service is great! In the spring, it's hard to consume all of the wonderful specialty greens and spinach. Depending upon the year, sometimes I end up freezing the extra produce (like when it is a good year for sweet corn or blackberries). Another advantage is that food you might not necessarily have tried is available. For example, I never cooked with fresh mushrooms, except button ones, before. Now I think all of the many different kinds of mushrooms they offer are fantastic!
Even though the store is small, the weekly fresh produce subscription service is an an adventure in good cooking and good eating.

This was a super tiny store. Not loads of selection and very high prices. Very dissapointing.

This co-op has been around since the mid 70's and has a long tradition of supporting the local economy charitable organizations. The employees are very friendly and often end up learning your name. It's a very relaxed and friendly place unlike conventional grocery stores and most chain retail outlets that bombard you with visual and auditory noise.
They are really great about trying to order in special requests if they dont already have it on the shelf.
They have a really cool bulk food and herb area where you can even bring in your own container (be sure to get a tare weight for it first) so help save on plastic bags.
When I went in there the woman who does most of the ordering was very knowlegable and helpful and the other woman even looked up something online for me.
Great place
