The farmers are delicated to their livelihood and to their friends and neighhood (Hillsborough). They are also offering their time to go to the Hillsborough and Chapel Hill Senior Centers once a month so that the seniors can reap from the same benefits we receive. Very friendly and helpful, soap is wonderful. They will pick out the vegetables if you want them to. I have never been able to pick what a "mess of vegetables" was even though I was raised on a farm. Thanks Hillsborough farmers- we need fresh vegetables and crafts etc that we know are of a good quality and we want to support our local economy. We know the sacrifices you make to do what want to do and keep the family farms still alive.

Any farmers' market that has been in existence for over two decades (24 years, to be exact!) has lasted that long for good reasons! With a membership of 50+ vendors, extra-curricular activities and festivities through the year, live music each week from local artists, combined with all with the vegetables, fruits, crafts, baked goods and you have all the ingredients for a highly beneficial and great time! Now that the Hillsborough Farmers' Market is in the Home Depot parking lot there is ample parking, easy in and out, and in a highly convenient location to Durham, Chapel Hill, Mebane/Burlington. It can't get much better than this!

Everyone at this market is so friendly and helpful. they answer questions from how do you prepare a certain vegtable to how best to take care of a certain type of plant. You can also walk the market with your dog - it's an enjoyable Saturday morning.

I have been privileged to have been a vendor in this market. It is democratically-run, with a minimum of bureaucracy. with a lot of friendly vendors and a great selection of veggies, flowers, baked goods and crafts. It's been in existence for 25 years and has only become better.

I know the people who grow my food. They've become not only our farmers, but our really good friends. We look forward to the festive, social atmosphere every weekend, and to the fresh, local products they sell.

I have been visiting this group of farmers for years. Their dedication to bringing us the finest produce, plants, meat, and crafts sets them apart from other farmer's markets I have been to. They share their knowledge so freely and I can't wait for Saturday to come each week to learn and buy more!

The Hillsborough Farmers Market is one of the very best vendor and customer-oriented, vendor operated, traditional farmers markets in North Carolina's Piedmont region. It is a shining example of what farmers markets are all about, providing a marketplace for local farmers to supply high quality home grown farm products to the customers living in their area; "locally grown for local sales". Also I am one of the vendors at that market and I know first hand what a great market it is and the hard work and perseverance that has gone into its many years of development, 23, to be exact. My vote goes for the Hillsborough Farmers Market located in Hillsborough, NC.

The Hillsborough Farmers Market is consistently overflowing with a variety of wholesome goods. Besides the wonderful produce and organic meats there are craft made cheeses, bakery items, and goat milk soap of delightful fragrances, many crafts of all kinds, live music, hand made jewelry, and fragrant flower bouquets. When you arrive you are immediately welcomed by a loving sense of community enhanced by sweet fragrances, smiling faces, doggy drinking stations, and the laughter of children; all with a soundtrack of live local musicians offering their song to you.

Handy for picking up fresh veggies and supporting the local farmers. I lease hunting land in Caswell & Alamance County so I'm in Hillsborough a lot.
