I first joined Good Earth Farm as a CSA member when a friend asked me to split a share. A newer concept then, I thought it was a great excuse to work better food into my diet for a relatively low investment per week. Now a long time member, I order herbs in the spring plant sale and always look forward to veggie season! You can really tell a difference in the fresh organic produce that includes some heirloom varieties, but it's also about the true community atmosphere cultivated by the farm. They host a number of events giving you an opportunity to get to know your farmers, celebrate stages of harvest and meet other CSA members. In about a decade, there has always been a good amount and assortment of items, and we've been fortunate to have excessive bounty much of the time. When mother nature throws curve balls, the newsletter does a great job explaining any challenges in the field and how it affects your weekly box, and give tips for using or storing items at peak harvest.

My husband and I have been members of Good Earth's Farm CSA for the last few years. From the moment we met Joe and Nicole, they made us feel welcome and included in their farming venture. Not only do they grow the most wonderful produce, they also have great farm events for members. We've been impressed with the consistent variety and quality of the produce. We look forward to many more years with Good Earth Farm as our farmers!

This family run CSA is one of the most authentic CSA's you will find in Wisconsin. They have been around long enough to have the infrastructure to meet the needs of their members but are still new enough that they are changing/growing and evolving. They are organic certified but we were members before they got their certification because they clearly already had the organic vibe to their methods. Their produce is high quality. They offer a variety of pick up locations and pick up styles such as a classic CSA 'box' and more recently the market style pick up choice. Each year you get herbs to plant and can order extra veggie plants for your own garden. They also offer opportunities to connect with the farm and fellow members with farm events like open houses, pizza nights, and pumpkin patch pick-ups. I feel like this farm gives me the chance to belong to a classic CSA in it's purest form. Know your farmer, know your food!

Ill be beginning my second season working and eating at Good Earth Farm and the new season cant start soon enough! Theres nothing about this farm I dont love. The food is so fresh and flavorful and the newsletter always has a lot of ideas on how to use it. Better yet, Joe and Nicole have very strong ecological ethics and are a lot of fun to work for. Its amazing to watch all the bounty those acres can produce and it feels wonderful to be a part of sharing it with others.

Been members for the last two years and truly appreciate the variety of vegetables Nicole & Joe produce. They provide a great weekly newsletter about the workings of the farm, the impact of the weather on the seasonal produce, and recipes. We have not a single complaint about how this farm operates or they produce the grow and provide us.
We only wish they were closer to our home in Beaver Dam... or that we could find other families in Beaver Dam to join and share in the weekly drive to GEF for the Thursday pickup.

2012 will be our fourth year with Good Earth Farm and we love it more and more every year! In addition to the amazing variety of produce they offer, we love receiving their newsletters and learning of new ways to prepare vegetables - both familiar ones and unfamiliar ones. They have some really fun farm events every year, and it is great to get out to the farm and meet Nicole and Joe and their kids and see the farm in action.

This will be our 5th year with GEF and we can't even imagine going anywhere else. Not only are the vegs super yummy and abundant, the farmers, Nicole and Joe are a delight to work with. The variety of their produce is outstanding with many new variations of old favorites. We are avidly looking forward to the start of the season.

We have been members of Good Earth for 2 years and have enjoyed it immensely. The produce is outstanding and the farmers are always pleasant and welcoming. We appreciate the unique veggies they grow in addition to all the staples, and the mushroom and honey shares have been a great addition to the standard share. We highly recommend this farm to our family and friends when they ask us where we get our vegetables.

Good Earth Farm is an excellent CSA. There was never a week with too little food. Usually the boxes were bursting with beautiful produce! And along with every box came a fun newsletter describing the activity on the farm, type of veggies in the box and how to store and prepare them. I would definitely recommend this CSA.

Having worked on this farm for a season I was able to see all the ins and outs of operations. It is refreshing to find people who truly care about the environment, the food, and their members. If you are looking for a good CSA, I would recommend this farm.

2008 was our second season with Good Earth Farm and we've really enjoyed them both. Even with the challenges of the cold / wet spring in 2008, GEF provided us with a boutiful box of produce the entire season. The newsletters are a fun, interesting, and helpful bonus!
