I have searched relentlessly for 30 years for socks that would really keep my feet warm in New England winters. Your Icelandic wool socks are the VERY BEST I have ever found - they beat cashmere, merino, even alpaca. Thanks so much for your terrific socks. And I love the extra wide elastic band on the top of the socks too.

I'd like to thank Lisa & her sheep for producing THE best pair of socks that I've ever owned. They're unbelievably warm & comfortable. Not to mention the high quality. In fact, I'd have to say that even if I wore them everyday they'd out live me !! ( and I'm young ! ) Thanks again ~ They're GREAT !

I just received my package from Mack Hill Farm and I couldn't be happier. I ran across Lisa via Twitter and have seen beautiful pictures of her animals and read about her foraging trips in the woods for months and to have her products in my hands is very special.

I'm giving the socks as a gift this Christmas and I have to say the workmanship is excellent. I have not used the mushrooms yet, but the package is very generous and I'm looking forward to cooking with them.

I recently purchased some Icelandic wool socks from Mack Hill Farm, and I've just told my family that I'd like to be buried in them! They are the softest and warmest socks that I've ever worn. Best of all, they're washable!

The socks are cream colored and very densely knitted. My floors are tile and the socks keep my tootsies very warm & cozy. I would recommend this item to anyone. Great customer service too!

We live in Australia although my husband is from the US. There's no local maple syrup and most of it is imported from Canada. For my husband's birthday I shipped a jug of Mack Hill Farm's maple syrup out for him - he was over the moon. He finds most of the commercial maple syrup really bland and this was wonderful, beautifully flavoured and much more interesting than the supermarket variety.

A note on the personalised service - the first jug did not arrive and when I enquired, Lisa kindly sent out another one along with some US candies to make my husband even more homesick! That's service.

I've tried Mack Hill Farms pork and lamb, duck and goose eggs, and honey, and they've been uniformly delicious. The pork is tender and juicy; the lamb is milder than supermarket lamb, but sweet and incredibly flavorful; and the eggs are richer than anything you'll find in a store. The honey is tangy and complex from the wide variety of flower pollen the bees are consuming -- it's much more interesting than ordinary clover honey.

Having seen the farm's animals for myself, I know how well they're cared for, which makes a big difference to me in terms of the meat I buy. I have a turkey and a duck in my freezer right now and have every expectation that they'll be just as tasty as everything else I've gotten from Mack Hill Farm. Can't recommend them highly enough!

This year we searched for a local free range turkey for the holidays. We found Mack Hill Farm through internet research. The white midgets were new to their farm they explained and were anticipated to be small (12-14 pounds each), so we ordered two. Lisa was very helpful in telling us about the type of turkey we were buying, their friendly disposition as well as the way in which they were raised.

The farm was delayed at the slaughter house due to a backup, so they offered to hand slaughter and ready our turkeys so that we would have time to brine them. They also explained how to brine the turkeys, gave us a brine recipe and even gave us some buckets to brine them in.

These turkeys were absolutely incredible. We bought and cooked 2 for our group of 13 on Thanksgiving and we had plenty of leftovers. I generally do not like the dark meat - finding it a bit gamey, but on these turkeys it was very tasty.

I would encourage anyone to try out this farm and their delicious turkeys. We were truly happy with our purchase and would definitely buy from them again.

We have previously bought locally raised meats and poultry that has been good, but the personalized assistance at Mack HIll Farm was helpful and appreciated.
