Beautiful setting, large assortment of fruits, vegetables and flowersÂ?well represented by the state's best vendors: grass fed meats, local shellfish and lobsters, ice cream, eggs, chickens..... The market is extremely well-organized and earthling friendly. There is entertainment, yoga and an absolutely amazing view of the Newport Bridge and the Bay. The School garden is absolutely awesome, as well.I, eagerly look forward to Saturday mornings during the season.

As well as providing the RI community with a huge variety of local, organically grown produce, meats, seafood, honey, flowers and more, through its diversity of local vendors, the Coastal Growers Market manager schedules music, children's activities, yoga classes and other special events from May through November, including a special Thanksgiving market that includes delicious locally baked pies in addition to its regular offerings. It is what a farmers market should be...a place where the community can gather to get what it needs; whole food for the body, mind and spirit!

Row to table - you can't get any fresher organic produce, grass fed meats, local bay shellfish, and ice cream manufactured using mild from the local Rhode Island dairy cooperative and indigenous flavorings(e.g. a local maple sugar house for the Maple Walnut!) than our coastal farmers market. Sited on a historic farm with heirloom plant and livestock species, its an awesome and fairly priced foodie experiece as well as a great venue to learn how easy it is to finesse - a harvest to home type program. I buy my weekly staples here as well as a new food/spice from time to time to experiment a bit. How does steamed organic fennel just harvested from the farm sound to compliment freshly shucked native oysters - It doesn't get any better!!!
