Upon my first visit to this market, I was warmly welcomed, not bomb barded. There is a wide variety of local crops and crafts. Enough product to supply canning needs and crafts that wow, yet are traditional and giftable. I'll be going back again and again. If you want to support your local farmer, artist, this is the place to be!

I love several aspects of this market. It is under a pavilion, so the weather doesn't matter; there are bathrooms, just in case and there is lots of free parking. The vendors, are AWESOME! They always have such a seasonal variety of produce, eggs, meat, honey that are all FARM FRESH. There is also craft vendors for special gifts. Don't bother going downtown- No parking, no restrooms, and no quality! This one at the old Fairgrounds is the only one to check out in town.

The produce and other products are fresh and grown by local people and local farms. The vendors are all helpful, friendly, and always willing to give you information on their products.

There is a huge variety of fresh produce, as well as plants and crafts! And there are informational seminars! The first one several weeks ago was about bee balm! And there is another one coming up about growing day lillies!

We don't have a lot of choice around here--this market originated with our local organization Rural Resources and it does a fantastic job bringing good, local food. Thanks!

We give back to the land by supporting the people who harvest it's bounty, so they can keep doing what they love, and we can enjoy the fruits of that labor. The Greeneville Farmer's Market is not only helping keeping the downtown area vibrant, but doing a service to the economy. Fresh and local is good.

It's the closest to me & they run a mobile market
to folks in subsidised housing & retirement communities who might not have transportation to the market.

the organization supports the local economy by connecting food growers with local consumers. Supported in part by a local agricultural non-profit, Rural Resources

We at the Depot Street Farmers market have promised to be positive toward the other markets in town. We are not in competition with any of them. They all serve their own purposes and would like this respect returned to us. By telling people not to go downtown because there is no parking or bathrooms ( both untrue statements) they are denigrating the local food movement. This site should support all markets and farmers and not approve any posting that bashes another.
