I think that it is wonderful that we have three good farmers markets in Greeneville. Imho they all three bring some good things to the table. The distance between the Saturday markets help to serve both sides of the town very well. Its great that the market is covered at the fairgrounds especially during raining mornings. The market downtown on Depot St helps to serve the people who live in the area who do not have transportation and walk to the market and downtown, plus they are helping to promote the revitalization of downtown Greeneville. The farmers market that opens on Friday afternoon across from the car museum serves the many commuters going home or to work on Friday afternoon. I think instead of bashing the other markets we should all help promote these great markets that makes where we live a better place.

why are you allowing this person to bash the market in downtown Greeneville with lies....there are rest rooms all over the area, they have a porta pottie on site, there are at least 100 parking spaces within 200 feet of the market and the vendors are some of the best in Greene county. I am shocked that you have allowed such statements to continued to be posted.

We at the Depot Street Farmers market have promised to be positive toward the other markets in town. We are not in competition with any of them. They all serve their own purposes and would like this respect returned to us. By telling people not to go downtown because there is no parking or bathrooms ( both untrue statements) they are denigrating the local food movement. This site should support all markets and farmers and not approve any posting that bashes another.
