THATS ME IN THE PICTURE!!!

I am a native of Avoyelles Parish, but moved away many years ago. 4th of July weekend, my family and I decided to camp out in Marksville. My son and I visited the WesMar Farms market on Thursday afternoon. It was fabulous!!! The chesse and milk are amazing and they have lots of other goodies too... It's so great to have a place like this in Avoyelles parish!

WesMar Farms represents the best a locavore could hope for: congenial, knowledgeable owners with a commitment to sustainability and community; the opportunity to see and interact with their friendly and inquisitive Nubian goats; and superb goat milk products. Marguerite and West Constantine's cheeses, both feta and chevre, are delicious and wholesome. The milk is pure and delicious. The soaps are mild, soothing to the skin, and smell wonderful. And Marguerite's chocolate goat cheese truffles are to-die-for! Their Thursday afternoon Dairy Markets also feature local produce in season. Excellent!
