The Brookine Farmers' market is a wonderful place to find fresh produce directly from the farm; naturally grown meats; extremely fresh fish and eggs; great cheeses. The atmosphere is lovely and cheerful, customers and vendors alike. It is always sad when the season is over.

We look forward to it opening every June and are sad when it's over in
October. It's a unique experience in the city! Wandering around on your lunch hour stocking up on fresh fruit and vegetables, bread, cheese, eggs, turkey, fabulous fish, great steak, pies, chocolate, ice cream and Mimi's wonderful photographs in tile, coaster or card form. Year after year it never fails to provide more local color. Thanks for fun Thursday afternoons.

A short walk from my city apartment I have access to amazing fresh produce, fish right of the boat that morning from Boston's fish piers, goat cheese from local creatures, low-fat but amazingly rich and creamy ice cream from Massachusetts cows, crusty ciabatta and other wholesome bread from a terrific bakery, plus friendly and instructive conversations with farmer (and other) vendors.

Everyone is friendly and happy at the farmers' market. I love asking the farmers questions about their crops, and getting cooking tips from sellers and buyers alike. The vegetables and fruit are super fresh, and there's a great selection of organic produce. I've been introduced to new varieties which are fun to experiment with. The fish is so fresh, there is just no comparison with what you can buy at the supermarket.

A wonderful market with friendly vendors who sell organic produce and a wide variety of other offerings such as a fine french baked goods, grass fed meat, excellent local goat cheeses, free range eggs, fresh fish, homemade ice cream, flowers, raw honey, maple syrup, jams and jellies, turkey pot pies. It promotes green living and healthy eating directly from local farms and businesses as well as contributing to community spirit. I have been going for at least 20 years because of the welcoming atmosphere. I love my market and buy and freeze food that I can eat all winter to remind me of the market after it closes at the end of October.
