We have bought produce such as peaces and tomatoes every year for many years now. We enjoy it being close to home and it being located out in the country, even tho' its just a mile off 365. We can go dressed just like we are and still feel welcome. Everyone is treated the same and we are always given the right amount, plus some. Britton goes out of his way to make sure we have everything we need and will even load my car. That shows me that our business is truly appreciated as much as we appreciate the good quality produce.

Grier Orchard has the best peaches I've ever had. The big reds are my personal favorites, but he has several varieties that mature all through the summer. I've always found the owner to be a nice guy. If you want a sample, he'll slice a wedge out for you to try. If my girls are with me, he'll rip a peach or two in half and give them a sample! He's been known to 'fatten up' a peck or half bushel for me on more than one occasion, though not every time. And if you have time on your hands, he'll stand around and jawbone with you.

But the best thing is that the peaches are the best! We'll put about 3 pecks up this year and they will last until they come back in next summer.

We have purchased Big Red Peaches from Griers for 3 years now. We had been totally pleased with the peaches and the friendliness of the people, until yesterday, Aug 16, 2012. We had stopped by last week and was told they were sold out but would have more this thursday. So I called Wednesday afternoon and immediately noticed a difference. The gentleman who answered was very rude, but got the message across that they would indeed be in the orchard by 8:00 am. So we arrived about 10:30 am and they were coming out of the orchard with fresh pickings when we arrived. The gentleman who greeted us was obviously the same one I spoke with the day before. We planned on buying 2 bushel,. but because of the rudeness, ended up leaving with 1/2 bushel. They displayed peaches already packed. 5 - 1/2 bushel baskets and about 10 - peck baskets. We were immediately told that 3 of the 1/2 bushel baskets were already sold, leaving 2, or 1 bushel. The 1/2 bushel baskets were $20.00 each and the pecks were $11.00 ea. We asked him to combine enough of the peaches from the peck baskets into 1/2 bushel baskets to make another bushel, providing us with the 2 bushels we wanted. He said he would not. We would have to buy 4 peck baskets at $11.00 ea and if that was not good enough we could just leave because someone else would buy them if we didn't. My wife wanted to tell him he could keep his peaches, but I convinced her to go ahead and buy 1/2 bushel since we had promised peaches to some friends. We tried to get him to change his mind, but he rudely refused, telling us the owner was in Florida and would fire him if he did as we requested. I travel all over north ga installing and repairing satellite dish and will be sure to tell everyone I meet how rudely we were treated. They have good peaches but I will never buy them there again. And I will ask everyone I know and meet to do the same!

This was my review and I would like to write an update. We love to use the small farms and contribute to our locals so decided to give a second chance.(we all deserve a second chance)We have since contacted Griers again and talked with a different person. Everything is good in Peach land again. Everyone was very friendly and the peaches are great. We are renewed fans of Griers Orchard.

We moved to this area (Cornelia) in 2010 from south Georgia. We discovered the Grier Peach Orchard by seeing a handmade roadside sign on Hwy 365 and following the signs. We were greeted warmly by Mr. Grier and were given free samples of the different variety peaches. WE bought a bagful and they were great! we have been regular customers ever since. Mr Grier jokingly told me on one visit that he was going to have to start weighing me when I arrived and again when I left to see how much to charge me :). These folks are a fine example of hard working super nice folks. All of their produce is fresh home grown and reasonably priced and taste great! I highly recommend them. Stop by to see them for a real treat. Lewell & Gwen Turner

Georgia IS the Peach State and growers like Grier Orchards are the pride of our state. A small 30 acre Mom & Pop farm that has a true "road side stand" feel. They produce some of the prettiest peaches you'll ever see. This past week I had the pleasure of sampling their "007" and Georgia Belle varieties as well as a Sun Prince fresh off the tree. Sweet, juicy, and just a hint of tartness that gives this fruit a wonderful peach flavor...except of course, the delicate Georgia Belle that has a unique flavor and beauty all its own. Took home a peck of Georgia Belles on Wednesday and we are still enjoying them Sunday night. Much heartier peach than I anticipated. Just a couple hundred yards off of 365, well worth the side trip!
