Grier Peach Orchard

Georgia IS the Peach State and growers like Grier Orchards are the pride of our state. A small 30 acre Mom & Pop farm that has a true "road side stand" feel. They produce some of the prettiest peaches you'll ever see. This past week I had the pleasure of sampling their "007" and Georgia Belle varieties as well as a Sun Prince fresh off the tree. Sweet, juicy, and just a hint of tartness that gives this fruit a wonderful peach flavor...except of course, the delicate Georgia Belle that has a unique flavor and beauty all its own. Took home a peck of Georgia Belles on Wednesday and we are still enjoying them Sunday night. Much heartier peach than I anticipated. Just a couple hundred yards off of 365, well worth the side trip!
