this place is more flea market than farmers market, the stands selling produce are vastly out numbered by stands selling everything but, the people who own the market seem more concerned with filling the space than the integrity of what a farmers market is supposed to be, me and my wife were severely disappointed by the lack of actual farmers produce, after driving over 20 miles and having to park blocks away only to find we would have been better off just going to our local store for our produce, it is truly sad that this place has the nerve to advertise it's self as a farmers market, needless to say we will Never go back there again and recommend everyone to look elsewhere for there farm produce.

No one needs locally grown produce more than North Texans -- and no one needs local support more than North Texan farmers!

I believe that if we grown our own food products, it will bring the prices down so that everyone can eat fresh and healthy foods.

I love the fresh fruit and vegetables...Most of all I love the people and the culture...Something like this is very rare in Dallas...This is something that we should keep, it's better for the community...A place to get away for a couple of hours

Great local products and character! Love that the actual farmers/owners sell their own products, plus, you can't beat the canned goods, pasta, and anti-biotic/hormone free meats.

I support the dallas market basically to help our local neighbors earn their living especially now with the economy in such a state. I love knowing my veggies are grown close to home!!

Everything I get, and I mean everything, is fresh, thoroughly cleaned and tastes declicious. The farmers are a great help with picking the appropriate freshness depending upon when you want to use it, i., tonight, tomorrow, 3 days from now. Perfect place, perfect people. I'll continue to make the trip from Oklahoma to buy!

I love the variety of fruits and vegetables, honey, meat, plants, spices.... There's so much to see and taste. It's a great experience.

Fresh fun! This same market's been here all my life with consistent quality and ease.

It's a win-win endeavor. I get delicious, locally grown produce while farmers get a way to sell directly to the public. Parking is easy and I have a lot of fun.

I believe in supporting our local community of producers. I like being able to have choices from several farmers, I can just park right there and it saves tons of time. I only wish there was only local stands on not some many produce trucks offloading the days extras.

Dallas Farmers Market has it all and open year around. This makes it for excellent shopping for food. Another big plus is you get acquainted with the farmers/people who grow what I eat. It is such a great community.

I love cooking with seasonal ingredients. Our farmers market carries a wide variety of seasonal fruits and vegies. They also carry some organic. Fridays are the most fun day, not so crowded and lots of fresh goodness.

They always have a variety of vendor and yummy fruits and veggies. This is the perfect place to spend a Sunday afternoon. It certainly has become part of my weekly ritual! I also always take family and friends who are visiting from out of town here to experience what I think is one of Dallas's biggest free attraction!

it's downtown and a cultural hub. it brings people to shop on the street. this is unusual for Dallas.

we had our son's wedding rehearsal dinner at the market. I bought the decorations (flowers and herbs) there. The vendors were friendly and helpful, and the setting was perfect. I would recommend it to anyone.

I grew up on a farm and want to support farm families. They work hard and produce the best tasting fruits and vegetables. I go there as often as I can.

When you are in search of fresh produce at a reasonable price, then the Farmers Market is the place to be. I love the cool walk down Farmers Lane with my kids and give them the same experience I had when I was a kid with my parents visiting the Farmers Market. The greatest part is that my kids are shopping for fresh fruit and vegetables which some kids may not enjoy eating. What a wonderful way to spend time with your family!!!

They have the freshest produce and a variety. Also like the fact that the growers are local which shows their support for the immediate community.

We shop at the DFM every weekend and have since we moved to Dallas two years ago. The farmers are basically our family! We even had our rehearsal dinner held at the DFM.

We love to buy our produce there. We can taste the products and we get ideas while we shop.

They have done a great job to improve visibility of local farmers recently. I love having a place close by where I can support local farms and feed my family wonderful, fresh, healthy produce.

I love the fact that I can take my children there and show them local farmers (and others) and what they do for a living. It teaches them the value to buying local, healthy foods. Support texas farmers mostly. The produce is better and I like the mixture of shops as well. I would recommend doing more in a flea market way as well. compete with first monday a little if you can

Talking to farmers and ranchers at the Farmers Market is one of the highlights of my week. Waiting for fruits and veggies to reach their prime (esp. peaches and tomatoes - yum!) makes them taste and smell that much sweeter! I love knowing where my food came from. Thanks DFM!

I drive from Fort Worth every other Saturday morning to shop at the DFM. I enjoy the fresh fruits and vegetables. The DFM offers a totally different experience from the supermarket. I love the people and the music.

I work in Dallas and drive right by DFM on my way home. I love that we have an opportunity to buy locally grown produce from the small farmers. I have always supported Farmers Markets everywhere I have lived.

Not only is the produce fresh, you can often meet the farmers. I love the addition of organic meats, produce and handmade goods. I also just love it as a vibrant cultural experience--the music, the crowds of people, the beautiful flowers. It's my weekend therapy.

My kids and I LOVE to go the the Dallas Farmer's Market. It's fun and delicious. It has been a fabulous teaching and learning experience for us as they learn how food is grown and why healthy eating habits are good for us.

First of all when you buy from the market you are supporting our local farmers who work so hard to bring in the freshest fruits and vegetables. During the spring and summer, farmers from Arkansas, Missouri and surrounding states come to the Dallas Farmers Market to sell their produce. The Dallas Farmers Market also has a substantial number of organic farmers. I like buying directly from the farmers who grow the produce, knowing that the produce ripen naturally and is therefore more nutritious. If anyone wants the best tasting old-fashioned tomatoes, be sure and stop at the Lumley's stall. No other tomato comes close to a Lumley tomato. I want to see someone start a "Slow Food" movement here in Dallas. Forbes magazine has an article titled "150 healthiest foods" and the one thing that all of these foods have in common is no processing. This article shows historical evidence that it is really not about high protein diets or vegetarian or whatever diets. Over the decades for many different ethnic groups around the world, the key to healthy living and long life is eating food with little or no processing.

On a visit to Dallas in May we went to the Dallas Farmers Market. We were so impressed with the quality and selection of fruits and vegetables.

I appreciate that there is a place in Dallas that is organic and is concerned with the safety of the product entering the consumer. I am so disturbed that markets such as this are not the majority, but am glad to offer my unwavering support.

There grapes are so juicy & fine.Oh! and the watermelon there almost divine. So thats why I shop at the farmers market all the time.

The farmers work very hard to bring us great produce,its healthy,and you know it came out of the ground.You can also talk to the people who grew the food. The staff that works for the market are very friendly and kind. the vendors are so kind, and will let you eat untill you are full.(smile) I feel we need to do more for the market.

I love visiting with the vendors. Plus, you find unusual veggies that you just don't see in the store such as many different types of squash, etc. Plus, the avocados are the best!

I love the freshness and the display. I love that they are sooo nice and helpful. There is a Mexican restaurant where I always buy a delicious orchata (it reminds me to my trip to Mexico). And, it is the only place in Dallas with REAL eggs! I love this farmers market!

I love the Dallas Farmers Market. We visit a couple times a month during lunch (I work in Uptown Dallas) and the freshness of the produce and the prices can't be beat. All the vendors are very friendly as well, you can usually eat a full lunch there with all the samples the vendors give you.

Nothing beats fresh fruits and vegetables! The "stuff" in grocery stores has no aroma, no flavor and comes from who knows where.

I support Dallas Farmers Market because it has endured for more than the 50 years that I have lived in Dallas and it is easy to get there. The sellers are all nice and there are plenty of veggies and fruits to sample. Best kept secret in Dallas.

Renovations in the area including the new atrium allow people to shop for food and for furniture at the same time... Beds of wildlife are also near and bring people from all suburbs to beautify their gardens!! From locals to tourists, this spot is on its way to becoming the mecca Dallas so long needed-- The Earthy meeting ground-- began with our farmers!!
