It's fresh and it's local. Great group of people, they've even offered entertainment by those with talents not often showcased. In addition, the location is one of the best spots in town.

The fee to get a table is low, so it is worth while to come out with small amounts of specialty vegetables. I have sold Mirai sweet corn, Caribe and Purple Viking potatoes, heirloom tomatoes, and asian melons, most of which are hard to find, except at a true farmers's market.I also sell the "Baaay State Blanket", spun and woven in Massachusetts with 100% Massachusetts wool. Westminster customers know and appreciate fresh, "picked today" produce.

It is on a beautiful spot at the top of a hill. There are always children helping out or playing, so Westminster is really a friendly family atmosphere. We also go for the goats cheese and beef!

The westminster farmers market is a great weekly family activitity. Our family has enjoyed buying locally grown produce, and meeting people that raise and grow the food that we are eating. The market is a real gem for our community. The market promotes healthy living, and is sure to become a family tradition for generations to come.

Vendors are very socialable and the produce is of excellent quality and decently priced. Although we live 45 minutes away, it's woth the trip for the quality and freshness of their items. Also a good time to look for Christmas items from the various craftsmen.

Going to the market is not only fun and relaxing, it is educational. I love knowing where my food comes from, supporting local businesses, and having the peace of mind that comes along with buying unprocessed, nutritious food for my family. The weekly newsletter is also outstanding.

The vendors are terrific, and so appreciative of everyone, even if they're just stopping by to look. Each week I try to visit at least 2 new vendors just to try something new. We are fortunate to have so many people who are committed to bringing us high-quality nutritious food, and earth-friendly products.

What better way to promote real community than through healthy, sustainable, locally produced foods, lotions, and accessories provided by vendors who are both knowledgeable about their products and anxious to share that knowledge? Our AG Commission really got it right on this one.

Whole, organic foods are the best way get the nutrients our bodies need. Some studies show that synthetic antioxidents(vitamin A,C,&E) increases the risk of skin cancer in women(because of our hormones). Antioxidents in whole, organic foods like carrots or blueberries DO NOT pose the same risk;instead, these whole foods protect you. We shoudn't fool with Mother Nature.

I love the Westminster Farmer's market and go home with loads of things every time. From homemade English Muffin bread, local meats and cheeses, veggies, herbs and seasonal fruits to incense, goats milk soap, local photography to the most splendid dichroic glass jewelry. I have literally spent hours talking to some of the most interesting and friendly people I have met in Westminster. This is a great place to go if you are new in town to really get a feel for the local community - and they are great!

Westminster's Farmers Market is set upon a hill in a classic colonial New England common, with a great view of Mount Wachusett, too! The vendors are very knowledgable about their meat, cheese or craft. I and my 2 teenagers have a vegetable booth, We live on the Westminster town line and literally pick the vegetables that day and offer them ay the market within a few hours. We have to remind the people buying the vegtables not to cook them too long. They are that fresh! Other vendors offer similar tips, All in all, the best freshest food around.

Although I cannot attend every week, I look forward to the times I can. The people are especially friendly and helpful. The products and produce are exceptionally good quality, and it is evident that the organizers have worked many, and long hours to make this a successful adventure. In my opinion, they have accomplished the task that they set out to do. I look forward to meeting the people, and talking to the vendors -- they are all so pleasant and helpful, and full of knowledge about their items. I have attended many Farmer's Markets over the years, and this one is by far, my favorite. I love the fact that even some children are involved -- that makes it very special. The emphasis on local products and produce is especially important to me, and I appreciate this part of the program. I wish this could continue during the winter months, at an inside venue, offering canned and frozen items from the summer harvests!
