The Iron Mountain Farmers Market has greatly increased in vendors and products since its beginning. Check us out on the web and on every Saturday from 8-12 CST from June-October. We are also taking applications for new vendors. You can get produce, baked goods, pork, beef, lamb, eggs, apples, maple syrup, honey, herbs, mushrooms, and craft items at the market. Please visit and discover for yourself what a great market it is.

Yes I agree that our Market is slim. But you can thank those that set the fee this year for their permit. Now the list of positives and hats off to those who stayed and paid the fee. They are all committed people to deliver their product to us fresh . Talk with the Farmers,BeeKeepers and Maple Syrup producers get to know them they are all wonderful people. If you are looking for a certain item they will direct you to the farm infact they have called me with not 1 but several names and numbers to other producers. If you need bulk you can go to their farm and they dig for you while you wait or they will deliver your request to the market the next Saturday..They are the most honest hardworking people I have had the pleasure to call a friend. Come and meet them I promise you won't walk away disappointed.

There's just not enough fresh foods at this Farmer's Market. There's not much of anything to be honest, but I suppose that is to be expected in a small community like Iron Mountain. I think there were maybe 6 "booths" there when we went midway through the posted hours.

My wife and I relocated here last year from Marquette, MI. They have an amazing Farmer's Market every Saturday. Not only did we purchase most of our food at the Marquette market through the summer months, but we just had so much fun taking walks there, and strolling through due to the multitude of products and atmosphere. So we were excited to hear of one in our new hometown of Iron Mountain.

Our first visit to the Iron Mountain Farmer's Market was last summer. When we arrived, we were sorely disappointed. There were very few vendors, and the ones that were there were either selling crafts, or over-priced foods with poor selection. I know that there is a place for crafts at a Farmer's Marker, but it shouldn't be the main component. It was a very frustrating experience for us, mostly because we went in there with high hopes of fresh veggies and breads, only to find people peddling their wares.

The only reason I did not rate this Market 1 Star (besides that, even though I didn't care for it in the least, I'd feel bad doing so), is because I don't want to discourage people in the area from going and visiting. I want this to be a good thing, and maybe if there's enough interest, more of the local farmers will attend.

So if you're in the area swing by, it certainly won't take much of your time.

I sincerely wish for this to work, so if you're one of the organizers reading this, maybe take the short trip up to Marquette on a Saturday and see how it's supposed to work.

Well, considering Marquette has a population of nearly 21k while Iron Mountain has slightly over 7k, that would be like me complaining that Bellybutton, Arkansas doesn't have any decent shopping malls like I found in Manhattan. You are coming from an area with a population of over three times that of Iron Mountain. You should jump for joy that at least they HAVE a Farmer's Market. If the MFM is that splendid, you can always make the hour-long trek up there, rather than spitting on this one. I'm from a city much larger than your Marquette. Much, MUCH larger, but I don't spit on what these other towns have. Stop acting like you're some kind of a hot shot. Whoop de doo.
