It's the closest farmers market to my home. I like to support the local farmers when at all possible.

The Royal Oak Farmer's Market began in 1925! It is a wonderful, exuberant, and beautiful market filled with local farmer's and their vegetables, fruit, herbs, flowers, organic produce, naturally raised meat, bakers, crafters, artisans. I wish that everyone could see the bounty. We are truly blessed to have this market here in Royal Oak.

Quality "Michigan grow" products found here. Active with the community .. a tradition that has endured for years!

The people who sell produce and cheese, chicken, plants, baked goods are so nice and so are those who shop there. I like giving money to "real people", not agribusiness. I cook more and enjoy food more. I am in withdrawal if I miss a week.

Born and raised in Royal Oak.The Farmers market offers a wide variety of fresh veggies and fruit for reasonable prices.

I lived in Royal Oak for nine years, and even eight years later I still miss my farmers' market. Friendly people, central location, unique offerings. Highly recommended.

I suppot the farmers that work hard to bring us fruit and veggies locally. That way we get the freshest stuff. My 5 year old twins love to go with me because they think it is the coolest place. Start them young

They consistently have high quality, local and organic foods. They are an awesome local resource that is open year round!

The Royal Oak Farmer's Market has a great array of grocery items and also allows flea market items too. I love grazing through the place.

I love the farmers market! When I lived in Michigan that is where my dad and I would go for fresh produce and support our local farmers.

I love the history. My grandmother went there when she was a little girl. 1920's? Like visiting with the farmers and see them doing what they love.

Fabulous market, all locally grown produce, eggs and meats. Great family experience, farmers are great with kids. Great diversity as well, all kinds of other locally made products from rubs to pickles.

Great locally grown organic & farm fresh produce, orchards, berries etc. Free range chicken & eggs, antibiotic and hormone free meats, fresh cheeses, fresh salsa, fresh mushrooms, so much more! The atmosphere is lively and the farmers are wonderful to talk to.

There is NO better place for fresh produce and I also get all my fresh herbs here!

Since their update in the building itself, the market is pleasantly clean, friendly and I find the best prices on produce, flowers, and recycling ideas in the area.

The products are excellent, fresh and delicious. I am truly spoiled by the farmers that bring their wares because I buy from almost all of them not only to support them and MI but because of the value and knowing everything is frsh.

Fresh picked flowers & produce, Otto's Chicken & the Breadman ~ then cross the street to Superior Fish... perfect way to start the weekend.

Royal Oak Farmer's Market is awesome! I don't live there anymore, but surely do miss it! Wish I could come back and shop there again.

It is such a friendly place to have your morning coffee, talk to your neighbors and vendors. The produce is always fresh, the flowers are beautiful and it just make you feel good knowing you are getting farm fresh produce from your local farmers.

The Royal Oak Farmers Market is a gem of south Oakland County! It's been there for as long as I can remember and is still wonderful!

It is a delight to roam the aisles of vendors offering everything from vegetables to bouquets of flowers. The taste of freshly-picked vegetables and fruits sold at the market...priceless!

I always find something incredible there. The fact that I'm helping to support local farmers and also saving lots of money while doing so makes the Farmers Market one of my favorite places!

The Royal Oak Farmers Market is the best and oldest in the area. I went there as a kid with my folks and 55 years later i still go back for the best produce and the best prices in the area. Royal Oak Farmner's Market is the model that all new markets are copying to be a success.

Because supporting the local economy is important, especially in this economy. I would rather pay a little extra for fresh produce that I know was grown with care than buying them at the big-box stores.

The Farmers Market is why I love Royal Oak so much! On the weekends you can find people from all over shopping and looking around. It's what a great community is all about and they provide healthy, safe, fresh produce for all of us who are lucky enough to live near the Farmers Market!

I have lived in RO my entire life and spent many happy weekends at the market......I now take my own 2 year old twins every Saturday! I love my coffee guy, they love the bakery ladies and picking out their own carrots and flowers (they always want carrots, still don't understand the growing season...LOL!!)

Coffee guy, Bread guy, Norm McDonald sound-alike guy, eccentric characters, location near library, war memorial, friendly vendors, informative vendors, Shelly is energetic and dedicated...all in all a wonderful experience and atmosphere!

I have lived in Royal Oak most of my life & my parents used to take me there when I was younger & now that I am old enough to go alone & take people there, I do it as much as possible. The best farms bring their stuff there & all the people care so much. I love it there!!

I love local shopping. Fresh fruits and veggies from our own farmers - supports our state. I see familiar faces and receive friendly greetings every week. Going to market on the weekends has become a regular routine for me in my own hometown.

here is an 85 year old institution. I started shopping there with my folks in the 1950s. Many of the farm families are still there. they have become our family.the place is our town square where everyone meets on week ends. It is the true Americaa.

They have wonderful locally grown produce and meats, and the vendors are very friendly and helpful. Fresh flowers, a local bakery booth, and frequent musical performers help to complete the atmosphere.

By shopping at local markets, local farmers are supported. It also helps "green" America as local means less time, energy is used to get the food to the consumer.

It starts at the top with management and their market master, Gwen Ross is tops! She's a forward thinking lady, not afraid to try new things and embraces the community, knows how to manage the place fairly and also can generate income. She loves the city The variety in vendors is first-rate, the Sunday flea-market second to none. There's plenty of parking, has a great location and the people of Royal Oak and the surrounding area make it a wonderful place to be! kudos again to Gwen and staff for the upgrades to keep the place competitive.

The Royal Oak Market is always well-stocked with fresh, locally-grown, often pesticide-free, seasonal produce. I value being able to meet the farmers who grow my food. It's also a lively, fun place to be.

We visit the RO Farmer's Market every Saturday. I wouldn't buy my vegetables and fruits anywhere else. I trust the quality and love the variety.

Its a wonderful place to purchase really fresh vegetables and fruits as well as plants. I especially love the herbal teas and unique soaps and lotions sold at the "Dirty Girl" booth.

Great assortment of produce and other goods, and the farmers and vendors are friendly and helpful. George Uhlianuk has the most unusual products, including gorgeous heirloom tomatoes. He's the best!

Because they get the best in fresh fruit and vegetables, plus there's antiques and interesting people and beautiful stained glass windows on the building.

My favorite organic CSA (Maple Creek Farm) also sells produce here, along with other vendors that offer wonderful crops, flowers and crafts.

I have gone to this market since the 1950s. It was a good market then and is noe even better. there are many organic vendors. the vendors are committed to the quality of their products and the customers are committed to the Royal Oak market

During my years growing up in Royal Oak it was a fun place to go with my parents. It is part of the great memories I have of my youth.

It's one stop shopping! How could you beat it? You get farm fresh fruits, vegetables, meats, eggs, baked goods and more, along with taking home those fresh herbs and a big bouquet of flowers to make your day!

Best fresh produce directly from farmers in the country at prices everyone can afford..I have shopped there so long cannot remember when I started, maybe the sixties.

It is huge,and has a wonderful variety of fresh produce from many local farmers in the area. The prices are reasonable and the service is friendly.

There is an emphesis on organic producers, but conventional, also. Always a nice mix of items; live instrumental music on most Saturdays, A good place to meet friends. friendly atmosphere throughout. In a large city area, it has a small town :feel." Why? Magic, I guess.

I have been going to the Farmer's Market in Royal Oak for many years. I love it! I never come away empty handed. Everytning I purchase is delicious and fresh if it is edible, or grows heartily in my garden if it is planted. Pleasde support our hard working farmers who drive ling distances and get up so so early each weekend.
