It is an amazing social event where local growers can display there beautiful produce. Many venders also make the market a gala affair.

If eating food were merely an activity of consumption farmers' markets would be a nostalgic reminder of the past, but since the closeness to the earth and the source of what we eat and participate with matters, Missoula's farmers' market provides a place where I can encounter the hands that pick the vegetables I eat.

I go to my farmers market every saturday and I love the food, the people, and the atmosphere. I love being able to talk to the people I buy food from. I also go to the People's market, and I love that for the same reasons. Nothing beats local food and products.

it is wonderful - wonderful veggies of course, but also wonderful people, the no dog rule and no bike rule makes it much more pleasant than most markets, the food stamp program allows food stamps to be used for market items, and it's easy to bike to from anywhere!

It's the best farmer's market in Montana! All the other towns try to be that cool, that fun and that high a quality but nothing even comes a close second.

Because you can wake up and ride your bike for 5 minutes to get there. Once there you can get fresh organic coffee and local pastries and stroll through the market, where vendors know you by name and can buy anything from fresh fruits and veggies to jam to flowers and more. It is by far one of the most enchanting parts of Missoula!

The farmers market is a great way to support local farmers and buy delicious, fresh food. Not only that, it is also a wonderful social activity. I love going to the market with my roommates and picking out wonderful food for the next week. Go Missoula Farmers' Market!

At the Missoula Farmers' Market people are so cheerful. The vegetables start early in the season; the H'mong are especially good at very early carrots, so crisp, sweet, and quite translucent. There is a wide selection of incredible edibles. There are breads and bakery goods. Things are local and made even more cheerful by those fuzzy street musicians. It is a wonderful and healthy way to spend an early morning outing!

Local produce + local business + local artists + locals = a healthy community; our family bikes, walks or rides the trolley, the kids have money for cucumbers to crunch while we shop and visit , we discuss seasonal produce, health choices, buy plants to grow in our own garden, see friends, and experience Missoula! It's a great Saturday morning or Thursday evening event.
It's fully acccessible for people with disabilities, and we see many of friends, including those who use wheelchairs there.

I believe in eating the freshest fruit and vegetables and those can only be found at the Market. I also am a proponent of eating locally and organically. Besides all that, it is like street fair! There is music and food to eat and you can meet all your eco-friendly friends there Saturday morning.

Everyone works so hard and all the vendors brave weather from Snow (yes, even in June!) to pouring rain to wind to 100 degree heat. The produce is always delicious and it's an amazing environment to be in....definitely the best!!
