The best selection of fresh produce, friendly farmers, great environment and lots of fun! This historic village has an agricultural history that goes back to the 1700s - and the market keeps it going!

Great selection and quality of produce and flowers, the vendors are so willing to provide information (whether you buy or not, but I usually do!), wonderful goat cheese (south mtn dairy), the market manager is always friendly and helpful, and I enjoy the selection of music. They also allow dogs, and sometimes people bring adoptable animals which is nice.

I am a vendor in the craft section of the market, so I'm there every Saturday. The crafters have an exceptional talent which puts their artistry over the top. I enjoy seeing the people that visit our market. We have repeat customers, vacationers, and locals that are there for their first time. All of them love to walk through our displays. The produce, fresh flowers, and breads at our market are wonderful, not to mention we are a dog friendly market. We also have special events on designated SaturdayÂ?s. Come see us in Los Ranchos!

It is just the right size with friendly vendors including great artists and crafts people. It is conviently located in a great semi-rural community. To get there one drives by lovely farms and horse ranches.

So much more than just a good place to get local produce. Good food - tasty baked goodies, Geri's breakfast burritos - and great music by local performers. The various special events are fun. Best of all, a place to visit with your neighbors and friends. More of a social event than a commercial one!

They make a huge effort to be a "destination stop," not just a market. As a result, many people who might not get up early just to buy local produce turn out to enjoy the music, cooking demonstrations, and a breakfast burrito with Gina's Mexican food crew. The market attendees are also very loyal so vendors can take plan ahead for popular vegetables, take special orders, and even grow some items that might not be commercially viable in a more anonymous setting. The Fig Tree seller (a number of varieties of modern and heirloom figs) and the Herb Propagation stand (again, many varieties of unusual, ethnic herbs) are two examples of the specialty niche marketing that Los Ranchos encourages.

This market is a whole community effort--assuring that only locally grown foods are sold, integrating important themes throughout the growing year, such as health and nutrition and sustainability, and celebrating the best of this small semi-rural village with a fierce four hundred year old agriculture heritage.

It is a wonderful market -- the growers have a great variety of fruits, vegetables, and other food items and the Arts and Crafts section is very high quality. Parking is also easy and convenient. They have music and food-tasting events almost every Saturday, and they have started having pet adoptions and will be having a raffle for the New Mexico Animal Friends. So, it is a fun place to go for both humans and animals!!! to go

It is the people that make the Village of Los Ranchos Growers Market so special. Of course the premier valley location is fabulous for growing and it shows in the quality of the organic produce at the Market. Music is the icing on the cake to the friendly, visitor welcoming atmosphere.

The organic produce is grown on the surrounding farms - in the middle of this metropolitan area! It is not only healthy but greatly reduces our carbon foodprint with its proximity to the market and customers.

It's the most community friendly growers' market in the area... Great dogs and people show up every Sat. AM to share in purchasing local fresh garden produce, organic doggie treats, beautiful flowers, lavender products, fish, cheese, pastries, etc., etc. Delightful music and numerous special events are planned by the extremely hard working volunteer coordinators. The Market is also handicapped accessible and located in the beautiful peaceful valley setting!

Most all the food is organically grown or without the application of pestisides and herbicides. Local food isn't being hauled in from other countries or states so their less pollution from petro and the fresher the food the better it tastes! Supporting my local growers makes me feel like part of a greater more loving community.
