They've done a tremendous job organizing themselves and doing their level best to meet the needs of the people, with a variety of products and produce.

I was really impressed with this local market. I am so used to "artisan" being a code word for homemade pot holders and flea market. This little town though has some high quality artisans. From hand made clothing to high quality locally made stained glass, it has a great mix.
The veggies were fresh and at a good price. There is something nice about buying veggies and baked goods from the Amish.
This place is well worth a stop. I highly recommend it.

Well done! I thoroughly enjoyed the market last Saturday morning. Can't wait until the produce really starts to come in...and the musicians were a nice plus!

I was pleased to see the participation and so glad we have this going again in Rush County. Rushville definitely has talent. The items aren't generic, they are unique and handmade items being offered from the soaps to the handpainted windows to the wonderful handmade garden sculptures, and priced quite modestly! You would have to pay triple the costs for these artists items any where else. The Homemade goodies are a wonderful treat too! I also walked away with a wonderful apron!
I am excited and will definitely spread the word.

I was driving through Rushville from Kentucky to New Castle to visit family. I noticed this market off of SR 3. I stopped and was glad I did. They were short on vegetables and fruits, but it was explained that it is early in the season and they only allow locally grown veggies.
I did enjoy the mix of local artisans. The prohibition on imported veggies goes for goods sold there as well. No Amway, Longaberger or Avon. Also this was not a flea market as many of these become. They had a stained glass stand, Amish selling baked goods and a tie dye lady who makes her own shirts. My favorite was a stand that sold garden ornaments and other such things. I bought a butterfly garden suncatcher. Quite nice, good price and the wife just loved it.
When the crops do come in, this will be a wonderful little market. I plan on stopping by whenever I am in the area.
