I spent a little over a month on Musick Mountain Farm and really got a true taste for what it is like to live simply and off the land, without the modern distractions of cell phones and facebook. Janice and I got along stupendously and the hours flew by as we picked for market or planted new crops. I couldn't get enough of the beautiful mountains surrounding her property and enjoyed many a walk through the woods with the dogs by my side. Selling to the CSA members and at market in Knoxville was truly a treat, especially when our booth attracted a crowd. Overall, I thoroughly enjoyed my experience at Musick Mountain Farm and hope you won't hesitate to go check it out! Any help goes a long, long way!

What an experience it was ! I cleaned the field , helped to pick the vegetables, fed the chickens, did the farmer market at Knoxville, fed dogs and cats, and met a wonderful lady by the name of Janice !
She grows everything by herself with little help. At the farmer market at our stand we had such a quality of produces that everyone was stopping by to check it out. It was great to work in this magic place. The area is absolutely beautiful, and so peaceful. I watched the stars every night before to go to bed. The farm is about 1 hour from knoxville, and I you want to experience the real life of the land, and farm come and check it out ! She also has 3 wonderful dogs and cats.

I worked with Janice on her farm in 2007 and it was such a beautiful and transformational experience for me. The land is really beautiful, the gardens amazing, the buildings full of love and character, and not to mention how wonderful a woman Janice is. If you want to learn a lot and work hard, this is a great place. Janice is so full of wisdom, kindness, and hard work. I definitely recommend working with Janice on her lovely Musick Mountain Farm! :)
