I love the fact that Community Servings connects so many diverse aspects of our community- those who live in the area, those who need support from the community *and* their families, those who provide support to those families and those who farm/fish/offer their nourishment for our enjoyment.

The Farmers' Market at Community Servings provides a wonderful service to the folks in Jamaica Plain and the vendors are fabulous! But even more important, the Farmer's Market helps support Community Servings' mission of feeding those who are homebound with critical illnesses!

Their staff is committed to their mission. Having spent community service hours there with my school, I learned a lot from them about sincerely caring for people's lives.

Community Servings addresses some of the most basic needs of some of our most needy neighbors. What a Win-Win!

I support community servings because its in my heart to give back, to share my gifts and talents as a volunteer is very rewarding to me.

Community Servings is the end product of local harvest and farmer's markets: to help get well balanced, nutritious, healthy meals to those most in need of ALL of our assistance. I can only imagine what 5K will do to carry their mission onward.

For the great work they do for chronically ill people, for being around for so long helping those with HIV, for their participation in the community ...the farmer's market being a great example!

They have created wonderful services for the entire community. Using their space on Sundays to get a Farmer's Market going was another example of their creative thinking.

In addition to the services they provide for people in need in the community, they are always thinking of new ways to engage the community in their work. I love the selection at their Farmer's Market (which is far better than any others local to JP) and their efforts to involve the whole community in their work.

Community Servings is a meals and nutrition program for the critically ill, but is also an innovative organization that never stops thinking of new ways to improve its operations and contribute to the community at large.

Community Servings really puts their money where their mouth is when it comes to loving and helping people in need, and the Farmer's Market is another example of that.

Before Community Servings served as a Farmers' Market host, the low-income sections of the Jamaica Plain neighborhood of Boston had no access to local organic produce. Now, in addition to beautiful fruits and vegetables, folks also have an informal community gathering place with music, shaded seating and coffee and baked goods for sale.

The market has everything I want -- coffee, scones, organic fruits and veggies and a doggie 'park' for Chopper. I can sit with friends and listen to music. I've even gotten a free cookie in the past.

Community Servings does amazing work in the neighborhood -- feeding those who can't feed themselves -- feeding those who are critically ill and home bound and the farmers' market is an extension of that work -- bringing locally grown, beautiful and nourishing food into the neighborhood.
