I love that it supports Fair Trade and local produce, and has such a happy community atmosphere.

It is local, at a conveinent time and I can walk to it! No need to get in the car.

I live in Delmar and it is wonderful to be able to walk to a Farmers Market. It is so close that I can go every Saturday and purchase FRESH fruit and vegetables.

It's primary purpose is to support local farmers and bring healthy food and fair trade, and locally produced crafts to the community, but it also provides a wonderful and vibrant place for people in the community, young and old, to come together and build on the mission of the market. It has been built upon an important relationship between the local community public school district and the town board which only strengthens the impact of a sustainable, healthy living initiative. To start up the market, there was an incredible shared effort by students, administration, school personnel, town officials, local press, local artists, etc. that is making it a solid and much loved institution in our community already!

It helps bring us together as a community: I always see friends & neighbors. Great vendors... tasty stuff! And buying local is healthier for my family, the economy, and the planet.

Has warm, cooperative spirit and offers variety of local, fresh products. Pleasant place to be.

Why not?? It is a wonderful way to support our local growers, entertainers, businesses, etc - as well as get to know the folks in the community. I've run into people I know as well as acquaintances each time I've gone - what better way to spend a Saturday morning! Nothing beats living in an involved village!

It is a wonderful new addition ot the Delmar and greater capital region community--not just farm produce and crafts, but activities, connection... it just opened 3 weeks ago and already I can't imagine what we did without it!

They have done amazing things in such a very short time. Bringing the community together in a socially conscious way has always been important to me and they have accomplished that. Thank You.

Incredible diversity of farmers and other specialty foods and crafts. The music adds a great backdrop for community time. Great opportunity to visit with neighbors, support our local markets and get healthy treats. The best!

IT's a great little market, 1st year up and running. W/no outside sponsorship, there is no commercialization! We love our new little market - it's great for kids, families, and everyone looking for wonderful, homemade, home grown produce and goodies. :D

Within just a few months this market was organized and has quickly become a centerpiece of our town. Over 25 vendors, music, kids activities, picnic area, great people, great food, great fun; supporting local farmers, local crafts people and fair trade.

It's the greatest thing to happen to our town since we went democratic a few years back! The community comes together to support each other, keep the money local, improve our health, share our art and engage in political dialoque. It has increased our property value, not to mention our life!
