August through September are the hot months with the fewest crops and the lowest number of vendors, so your disappointment is understandable. By November it's cooling and the harvests are much better!

We enjoyed visiting & buying at the market this past winter. We are there for the winter & enjoy fresh fruit & veggies. Every week there is something different. Keep up the good work.

I am so excited to be a part of the BFM as a board member. It is a wonderful way to make everyone more aware of healthier eating and improving their diet.

The fresh fruits and veggies are fabulous! We especially have enjoyed the Texas Gulf Shrimp--WILD Shrimp (Delish!) and the fresh eggs!

When is the farmers market open especially for fresh farm eggs?

Brownsville Farmer's Market offers the local comunity an array of home grown fruits, vegetables, plants, honey and other ammenities, promoting healthier lifestyles, and supporting local farmers. It is truly a perfect venue for a Saturday morning family outing and an opportunity to meet with friends. My family and I look forward to Saturday mornings because of the Farmer's Maket.

The Brownsville Farmers Market is a Win - Win for the farmer and the consumer. What a great way to get the weekend started - with a strol through the market selecting veggies for the week.

I love the produce and the people. Our farmers are amazing people with a dedication to bring healthful foods to our community. We are lucky to have this market in our area.

With an almost year-round growing season, plenty of room for improving the health and food choices of folks in our community, this market has been a great success in its first season and has reached out to all ages and income-levels. This helps improve quality of life in our Border town.

The Farmer's market is a very relaxing and healthy place to buy food and spices for the household. It is nice to get away from all the insectidies that they spray on the plants. I have been there many times and to see the community come together to make the city a better place to be.

Our corner of the world includes a large proportion of diabetics and low-income folks. The Brownsville Farmers' Market provides fresh, gorgeous produce much cheaper than stores. A bonus: getting to talk to the farmers and learn more about gardening!

The taste from fresh picked produce is so different. I have discovered that some vegetables I normally would not buy or try actually taste good when fresh. Plus I love talking to others who come to the market about how to prepare something I am not familiar with.

Because the vegetables are fresh and just ripe for cooking for the weekend. I just enjoy walking to all the stands and seeing all that our community does for our farmers in our area. I hope this get to be much more wide spread and that more people will come. The farm community is doing a great service for Brownsville.
