At the grocery store, it can be hard to find locally-grown items, so it's great to have the market close by and have fresh-from-the-farm produce!

The fruit and vegetables are fresh, the prices are right and dealing with the workers has always been a pleasant experience.

It's great to be able to find fresh fruit & vegetables at work! I enjoyed a pint of blueberries all week, and took home some great small plums, a variety I'd never seen below.

They have heirloom tomatoes and fresh nectarines! Heirloom tomatoes are especially hard to come by in the Newark area but you can find them at the UMDNJ farmers market. I also really love including local fruits and veggies into my diet.

The produce is fresh and delicious, and it is really convenient for those who wok full-time,

Because they have The best Fresh, Jucy, & cheap fruits & Vegtables . . . and of course I'm goin to support " UMDNJ " that's who I work for !!

They promote programs and events to serve, support,and help the local communities.

When you work full-time, it is very difficult to get to a farmers market on a regular basis. Having one on campus is great. The fruits and vegetables I have purchased there are delicious and reasonably priced. It is a nice break in the middle of my busy day.

"Farmer's Market"?? Where are the farmers? I expect the prices in a Farmer's Market to be at least 1/3 less then in a supermarket! The most prices here are more than at the averige supermarket. Nice idea, bad execution!

The Farmers Market allows local farmers an opportunity to market their produce to an urban group which they might not otherwise reach.

It's a great way to get appealing, healthy, and fresh food choices into the heart of Newark, which has far too many high-fat fast-food options for its residents, particularly in the area of the campus.

It's wonderful to be able to shop for local food at work. Most farmer's markets that are accessible to me are only available during working hours, so I'm rarely able to go. This is a wonderful resource for the Newark UMDNJ community.

I support the market because it's community-based and needed in this neighborhood. The University hospital is a hub and accessible to everything. The harvest are the best and the benefits to the hospital and community are tremendous.

Our farmer's market is helping bring fresh, Jersey-grown fruits and vegetables to some who may not be able to venture out to the rural markets. It also helps promote healthier eating habits which could start a positive trend, especially in our area, where preserved garbage seems to always be the first thing available. Taking into consideration the ongoing economic distress of many, if the farmer's market doesn't currently have the capabilities to also serve individuals receiving financial assitance, it should look into making it possible. I think it is a wonderful opportunity for people to buy fresh produce at a reasonable price. As a health care institution, we should be setting an example by eating nutritious, wholesome foods. I hope it is advertised more to the surrounding community.

I love the UH Farmers Markey because all the produce is fresh and economical. The Farmers Market is a welcome addition to our campus. With long work/school schedules, it is great to be able to shop during the lunch hour. Our market is centrally located to the whole campus, enabling a large population of students/faculty, staff and the public to enjoy.

It's one of the best venues that has come to the Newark campus. Fresh fruits, veggies, pastries, and plants in an out-door market is wonderful for the campus community. It has presented the opportunity to see and greet campus friends and associates. It's like a family reunion! I love it.

The Farmers Market brings fresh fruit and produce to an area of Newark, New Jersey that has little fresh food available. It is terrific addition to the neighborhood.

I think it would be a good thing for the citizens of newark to engage in a healthy diet. Obesity is a problem in most cities like Newark.

The UH Auxiliary's Farmers Market has among the area's best fruits and vegetables at the finest prices. The farmers providing the fruits and produce are knowledgeable about their goods. This is a very much appreciated undertaking and is being well supported by the local community.

It's a great way to conveniently get really good, really fresh, very healthy food without driving around, wasting gas, time and energy, to get food that is not as fresh and had to be trucked from who-knows-where to get to the local market. We need good food in Newark!

Convenient to have fresh produce within a 5 minute walk. Perfect for this urban neighborhoos which lacks grocery options.

The variety is great. The fruits and vegetables are fresh and taste better than any you can get from the supermarket. The baked goods, jams , etc are also unique. It's easy to get to, most Farmer's Market are out of reach during the day (working) because of the distance away from my job. I love this market!! Please keep it coming!
