Very nice market that is coming along very nicely. About a dozen vendors today (8/23/09) with a very nice selection. Also some crafts and pony rides for the kids.

Had a great time and got some very nice produce as well. The Sunday date and the later time is also very nice if you can't get out for an early Saturday market.

Definitely worth a visit!!

I support the Florence Market because it is in the Florence area and there is nothing really out here and it promotes the history of the area that at time is most forgotten

I always enjoy visits to the Florence Mill and the festive atmosphere of the Farmers Market makes the trip even more worthwhile. I enjoy the variety of vendors at the market as well as being able to see the current exhibit at the Art Loft on the 2nd floor of the Mill.

It's in my old neighborhood of Woodhurst, and I still have good friends that live there.

The Florence Mill is a great family place to find fresh produce and a unique chance to show your children a piece of local history. The Mill has been beautifully restored. Owner Linds Meigs is an artist and displays her unique view of the farm in her talented photography in the upper level of the mill. We joined the Farmer's Market for the first time this past weekend. We offer pony rides there and are proud to be a part of such a unique venue in the Omaha area. Thanks Linda!

First of all, the ambiance of the Old Mill is wonderful. The number of vendors increases every week. The fact that it's on Sunday is a plus also.

It is a delightful place to have a market and get the community together. They need all the support they can get as they are new and trying very hard to make it a success.

The Florence Mill has a large variety of vendors, attracts a diverse audience, which is fun. The market is set in a grassy open space, so the shopping pace is more pleasant and relaxed than paved urban settings.

The number of vendors keeps growing. The historic mill is a great setting for the exchange of fresh fruits and vegetables and art. The current photographic exhibit about the family farm in the second floor gallery is wonderful. Great people, great place, great fun and excitement.

I really like Florence Mill Farmers Market in Omaha because the owners of the old mill are educating people about local history and the history of food production in early Nebraska. They are bringing healthy, fresh produce into a big city.

It's original, unique and offers a huge variety of fresh produce. Linda has done a spectacular job restoring the Mill, and it has been a wonderful experience watching it evolve into such a prominent and attractive part of the community. The Farmers Market surpasses any that I have visited and it's been fun to watch it grow.

It has a wonderful history the area, it's great that people have other options here in our great city along with the Old Market down town and Florence Mill Farmers Market give us that option. It is situated in a most beautiful area Florence and allows people in that area and other area to go and mingle together in one place, getting the fresh fruits and vegetable that they need for healthy meals. It's also a great place for area produce growers to show what they have to offer without having to display their goods roadside. Farming is an important commodity that can be taken advantage of at the Florence Mill Farmers Market.

A great new venue for vendors on Sunday to make Omaha residents aware of local fresh vegetables. It is a country feeling and not as crowded as the Downtown area. Good way for vendors to show their wares on another day in season. Good place for families to have their kids learn about small and exciting animals and give them hands on contact with the weekly additions featured. Good variety of fresh produce.

The Florence Mill is a wonderful story of "history saved" and the Farmers' Market which has a summer home at the Mill provides an opportunity for the community to share in the continuation of the Mill's importance to today's and tomorrow's citizens. The Sunday Florence Mill Farmers Market provides a community gathering point where history, community, healthy produce, entertainment, volunteering, and family fun come together.

Linda Meigs does everything well and this market is no exception. The prairie stting, covered wagon, mill museum, art gallery, free massages, demonstrations along with the wonderful and friendly vendors make a visit to the Florence Farmer's Market a wonderful Sunday outing! This market is truly a community effort. All of Florence area has seen the huge effort Linda has put into the Florence area and everyone is eager to support her effort in any way they can by shopping weekly, becoming a vendor or volunteering. You won't find a friendlier farmer's market.

It is a unique and an appropriate space for a 'Farmer's Market'. The diversification of vendors and activities makes it a MUST attend. Even in the first year of existence as a farmer's market at the Florence Mill, it is gaining a great amount of attention. Congratulations to Linda and her friends on a new local experience.

I have lived in the area north of The Florence Mill for 17 years. I have seen the Mill convert from a run down, worn out building to a vibrant asset to the Florence / Omaha community. This latest venture for the mill, that is, hosting a farmers' market, is a neat deal for everyone -- the Mill, the vendors and the customers. The market is an opportunity for the Florence and the greater north Omaha area to have access to fresh, locally grown produce.

The first time I visited the Florence Mill Market, sheep were grazing on the lawn, an exquisite art sign softly wafted in the breeze, and the tall, rustic structure stood on the horizon. Young children from a local 4-H club wandered close to their precious lambs, greeted buyers, and introduced their sheep by first names. Women spun wool, and sold homemade lavender bags, lotion bars, and baked goods. I thought I'd stepped back into the Fair at Dorset from The Mayor of Casterbridge--other worldly. Florence Mill must be the premier Farmers Market of the Midwest.

I was extremely impressed with the venue. It seemed a fitting place to hold such an event. The Florence mill is amazing and the owner has done an excellent job restoring such a place of History.
