Florence Mill Farmers Market

The first time I visited the Florence Mill Market, sheep were grazing on the lawn, an exquisite art sign softly wafted in the breeze, and the tall, rustic structure stood on the horizon. Young children from a local 4-H club wandered close to their precious lambs, greeted buyers, and introduced their sheep by first names. Women spun wool, and sold homemade lavender bags, lotion bars, and baked goods. I thought I'd stepped back into the Fair at Dorset from The Mayor of Casterbridge--other worldly. Florence Mill must be the premier Farmers Market of the Midwest.
