We've been members of other CSA's over the years. We found the Farm of Peace CSA about 5 years ago. After our first few share bags, we knew we'd found our CSA and have never been disappointed. We can literally taste the love in the produce. We get the full season bi-weekly share, which is perfect for the two of us. Our share bag is always generously full with amazing awesomeness, with excellent seasonal variety. I also appreciate that I can opt out of any veggies we just don't want or need, and (sometimes) get extras of others. If you are fortunate enough to live near any of their drop-off points, don't hesitate to sign up. I can't recommend them enough.

We've enjoyed weekly delivery of Farm of Peace produce each summer going on four--five?--years. It's part of my summer routine to open the bag, inhale the farm, and think about what to cook. My family loves the variety and quality of produce as well as knowing we are "eating local." I have much of my neighborhood participating now. The weekly newsletter is fun to read -- gets my city head thinking about the farm/earth rhythm -- and lets me know what's coming in the bag that week. Communication with the farm is easy and comfortable. Cost is comparable to any farmers market. Highly recommend Farm of Peace!

For two years now I've subscribed the the CSA from the Farm of Peace. I live in Silver Spring, where they have one of their drop-off points (others are in DC and north). It has been such a pleasure to get weekly bags of freshly picked, locally grown, organic produce every week. I'm lazy about my veggies, so this has upped my culinary game, not to mention nutrition. This CSA is very flexible, offering many different options, from half shares to deliveries every other week -- tailored to one's needs. They are also open to substitutes. How they do it I don't know, but it's super convenient. For a busy working woman, this is heaven. Oh, and they send recipes via email every week tailored to the produce you are getting. Beets, lettuce, carrots, cucumbers, watermelon, acorn squash, yams, potatoes, parsely, garlic, onions... a long list of goodies. Five stars from me!
