Keith and Sierra are so knowledgable and passionate about their jobs. They are incredibly willing to help educate others about health, factory farming concerns, organic v. conventional farming, etcetera. They are truly an oasis of hope in a city consumed by big agriculture. They are in the process of helping me develop a growers-only farmers market on Millikin's campus and they are so happy to do so. I throughly enjoy my conversations with them and the veggies I have eaten. They are such gracious and charitable people. Many farmer's market vendors in Decatur say they are the growers but actually buy their food wholesale and resell it. Keith and Sierra are one of the few that actually grow the food they sell and are so open to reaching out to the community and welcoming visitors on their farm.

This is our second year with Golden Oldies Farm. Sierra has been welcoming and full of information. People are welcome to visit their farm whenever they'd like and see the crops being grown. I have such a great sense of community because I visit the farm once a week, talk to the farmers, and see the fields. And let me just say, their crops are absolutely amazing. I never ate salad until I had lettuce from Golden Oldies. Everything is grown with care. I can't say enough wonderful things about their food.....and the CSA.

I met Keith and Sierra last year at Richlands farmers market. I did not know enough about CSA's at the time and it was late in the season. I spent the summer getting to know them and thier farming ways. This year I am a full member of the CSA and look forward to spending time on the farm. I got the majority of my produce from Golden Oldies last year and was never disappointed, if I was ready to try something new they were always ready to give advice. I am SO ready for the produce to roll in

My wife and I have been searching and waiting for years to have a CSA in the Decatur area. Now we have one! Here at the beginning of their second season, we're all signed up for the great harvest times soon to follow!

As soon as we heard about the farm, we went out to meet and talk with Keith and Sierra. We were very impressed. Even bought a couple dozen eggs right then to bring home with us.

For a few years now, we've been trying to improve our healthy eating choices. We've shopped all summer at the farmers markets. We started buying grass-fed beef directly from a local farmer. Now we're eating super good and healthy bison meat raised in nearby Monticello.

Abundant and healthy produce from Golden Oldies will be a valuable addition to our table from this year forward.

The CSA was not the best last year, but that was not at all their fault. We didn't have rain for months, so the crops didn't do well. I had my own garden as well and didn't get a single tomato or green bean out of it. It was a terrible year for everyone. No one can control the weather.

2011 was a TERRIBLE year for the GOF-CSA! All our great hopes come to naught. We'll not be buying shares in the future,
