It has been there forever, and provides not only food, but plants, flowers, and is a vibrant place to be.

I have worked in several booths myself, and I love my local farmers! I believe our current model of industrial agriculture is NOT working and going local and organic is a great step in the right direction. THis market offers everything I need for my weekly meals including fresh fruits and veggies, meats, eggs, dairy, breads, starts, fungi, herbs, honey, flowers of all sorts and every handmade craft or gift you could imagine. It is very accessible as it's only a block from the bus station and the food booth is filled with local green food operations. There is also a corner designated for crafters who can't afford a booth so that they may display their arts on blankets and this block also supports and amazing drum circle which entertains the ears of all the market goers on all four blocks. This is absolutely the best farmers market I have ever attended. Thanks!

I always run into friends while I am shopping at the Farmer's Market. I know the produce is recently picked. And I can ask the farmer for advice about my own garden...is that volunteer plant a squash or a pumpkin? (scratch the skin and see how tough it is)

An incredible array, not just of organic local fruits and vegetables, but also true pasture-raised chickens (and their eggs), pork, beef, lamb and goat. Oh, and did I mention the cheeses, breads, roasted chilis, line-caught fish and honey? Mmmmmmm!

You can't get fresher produce unless you grow it yourself. I believe in supporting local business when ever possible. besides freshness the variety is awsome. And the recepie suggestions are great. Did I mention its an experience like go to a party? Well it is.

I've been to several farmer's markets and I am longing for Eugene's market and music. And the Mexico Market on Sunday. The local produce is gorgeous. What a fun time to be had on a Saturday. Boulder's market is kool. The produce and flowers and food and entertainment are 50 times better in Eugene. My opinion. Love all farmer's markets.

It is adjacent on one side to the nation's original Saturday Market (in Eugene), limited to hand-made items and home-made food, and on the other side to the Wayne Morse free speech plaza, providing a full-service weekly experience of community expression and interaction.

It's growing bigger all the time. Creativity is increasing. More 'added value' food products could be sold. We need a year long market ... either downtown or Fair Grounds.

Unbelievably beautiful and fresh--gives me real hope we will transition to a lower-carbon society with a BETTER, healthier lifestyle rather than with hardship. The people are always really nice about sharing tips for growing your own food locally--the tricks they know are truly impressive.

Our farmer's market is a slice of Eden, the fabulous fruits of the Earth greet us with their health and splendor, treats for the eye and the heart, salve for the soul and the body, a feast meant to be shared with friend and family. The air is filled with smiles and song and the laughter of children sharing a taste of honey, the crunch of a fresh organic carrot, the sweetness of a red, ripe tomato, and the ever present warmth of new and old friends. I'm getting hungry just writing about it.

The Lane County Farmers Market is a wonderful place to meet the people who grow my food. It is a wonderful opportunity to support the hard work and dedication of of people who care about the food we eat and the way it is grown. I believe by eating food that is grown in your regions environemnt your body is not only better able to process the nutrition but it can help your immune system resist allergic reaction and harmful bacteria from other parts of the country. Eating food grown where you live is just better for you! And the people are wonderful

Because they take care of the soil and land in our community;
The money they make stays in our community;
Their produce (meat, eggs, fruit, veggies, plants, etc.) promotes health;
Their produce is fresh tastes incredible.
We trust local farmers and DON'T trust Sedexo, Cargill and ADM!!
