My family has had a share with Bridgewater Barns for the past two years (the first when they were partnered with two other farms), and have greatly enjoyed it.

Janet and Tony are always welcoming and graciously answer my questions about what some new (to me) vegetables are and give tips on ways to cook and eat them. They are committed to living ecologically mindful and sustainable lives, and carry that into their farming practices. They're always happy to engage in thoughtful discussions on the issues, too.

This past year we had a half-share from Bridgewater Barns and we have always received a great mix of vegetables. I may have a bias for tomatoes, but they really do have a great (and beautiful) array of heirloom tomatoes!

I'm really looking forward to my CSA share with Bridgewater Barns this year.

Janet & Tony are committed to healthy living, they see growing and feeding people as both a calling and a passion. They go beyond organic (not certified) to trying to find the best possible practices for the eaters, the food, and the planet.

They're also very welcoming and community oriented. They welcome visitors the the farm (call head, don't just show up!) When they were building their hoophouse, they did it barn-raising style with help from their friends and neighbors.

This is my first year doing a CSA and I can say that I'm satisfied with my decision. I actually split a half share with my dad, which was usually enough for us both to cook a few meals or make multiple salads throughout the week with. I like the idea of helping local farms grow good food. The three farms have good people working them. They're more than polite and will answer any questions you have. The food is good, too. I've started cooking more lately and with a variety of new vegitables.
