Wow, another season with Karen at Willow Brook Farm has come and gone and already we're looking forward to hearing of the Spring planting. Last season was great. TONS of peppers- various heat- which made for some excellent hot sauce and salsa. Due to the over abundance of beans, we learned to blanch and freeze for winter soups and stews. My wife and I enjoyed and shared a great bean dish with our families at Thanksgiving, all the time thinking it was just from the summer growing season. We thoroughly enjoyed Karen's green house radishes well into early December- what a terrific treat on our salads. We can't wait to visit the farm again this up coming season- eager to get our hands on our share of fresh vegetables. Looking forward to another prosperous season, no matter what the weather may throw at all of us.

This was our first year with Willowbrook Farm and we couldn't have been more delighted with the results. The half share we received was thoughtfully cared for, picked and packaged for us week after week. Our share was more than enough for the two of us and the variety of fruit, vegetables and the addition of cut flowers was wonderful for the farm's first season. We were impressed by the concern Karen showed as the crazy summer weather of horrendous drought and then Hurricane Irene persisted, ultimately causing some crops to be hit hard. Karen always wanted to provide us with the most perfect looking vegetables. If we were unable to pick up on the designated days, Karen and her family were flexible with alternatives. At the end of the season, Karen put together a wonderul share holder gathering, which highlighted the farm's emphasis on community. We made the right choice with Willowbrook and are looking forward to the 2012 season.
