Aaron was extremely responsive and the turkeys are perfect! He and his family even hand delivered to our door, and we are far out of his way. Extremely inexpensive turkeys. He should be charging a lot more for the value! For the reviewer who gave the farm a low rating, they must not deal with local farms very often because its impossible to determine exactly how big the turkey will be. The quality you?re paying for is in non conventional, humane conditions. I will definitely purchase from valley view organic again. Thank you Aaron and family so much for the beautiful turkeys and wonderful, responsive service!

We tried Valley View Organic Farm's CSA for the first time this year. We found the experience less than satisfying although to their credit they did attempt to make us whole.
For starters we purchased some more expensive "June BBQ Broilers". Given that I hadn't worked with them before, I sent Aaron an email 3 weeks before the expected date to find out whether they were delivering them to us or if there was a common pick-up location in Madison. He replied that he'd be sending out an email with details. I didn't hear anything from him until September and didn't receive my early broilers.
While he did replace them with a later batch of broilers, they weren't any larger so in a sense we paid $0.25 more per pound for nothing. Additionally the turkey we purchased was 10lbs instead of the 14 pounds we paid. At $3.50/lb, it adds up.
On the plus side, their meat was extremely high quality, well cleaned, and very tasty.
All said and done, I'm split as to whether I would order again.

Just the way you would raise your own meat on your own small family farm. Yes, I let Valley View do it for me, with excellent results. Trustworthy, pleasant farmer to whom I am happy to give my business..... I will be busy with a large garden, milking my goats and putting up produce for the winter while Aaron takes care of raising my meat. Healthy living, peace-of-mind and a full freezer. Thank you, VVOF.

Sorry for the lack of response! Last year was not a good year for me, I was very sick with cancer-my wife and son had to do almost all the chores. I had an operation in December to remove a 6 inch tumor. By now I am feeling much better and am able to do most of my chores! But that still is no excuse for not responding to an email sooner! Will try to do better! We had a much better year this year! So, again, sorry!
