A couple of weeks ago I stumbled upon a post by April Keaton giving an in depth process on making beef marrow broth and the seasoned beef fat that results from the process. I couldn?t get over the details of the 5 part post. It was evident that April truly enjoys sharing her accomplished processes. On that note, we tracked her and Ronnie down at the Salem Town Market this past Saturday and learned a little more about these stewards of the land. We scored a pound of ground beef, a dozen eggs, a jar of the seasoned beef fat (all of their broth had already sold out!) and an awesome t-shirt! Grilled 2 half pound burgers that evening and came to realize I had not had that quality of meat in WAY too many years! Today we stopped by their farm and bought up as many steaks as my budget would allow. Ha! Should you be looking for top quality, natural products, you have to get in touch with this couple. They truly go above and beyond with their products and in sharing their extensive knowledge!

This was our first time getting our beef straight from a farm and we are 100% glad we did. April makes the process super easy and is responsive to questions, the beef is delicious and Wilson's did a great job with packaging and pick up.

I have made several local purchases from Keaton Farms, and I can honestly say that I have never had/tasted any beef better than this. The meat has such an incredible, almost buttery taste, that I can?t t get enough of it. April has been incredibly easy to help me make decisions about my purchases. She is so friendly and knowledgeable in what she does. It was a piece of cake, considering I have limited experience in purchasing half steers. Great quality of beef, and extremely satisfied with customer service. After 3 purchases, I will definitely return again and again.

I have been participating in Keaton Farms veggie CSA for over three years. The produce is fresh, tasty and of good variety. I have also purchased beef and eggs from April and Ronnie. Their beef is some of the best I've tasted and they work closely with their customers through out the purchasing process.

I have been to visit Keaton farms in person and received a wonderful tour of the grounds. April and Ronnie treat their animals wonderfully and practice organic farming. I hope to be a customer of theirs for years to come!

We get our beef, eggs and veggies (CSA) from Keaton Farms.

The eggs have beautiful, bright yolks that taste fabulous.

We received our first 1/4 Keaton cow last week. It is delicious! We got to see where the cow was aised...pasture and forest. Talk about a humane lifestyle that honors the "cowness" of the cow.

The veggies in the CSA have so much flavor. We are given a heads up of what is available that week so we can plan ahead. Links to recipes and directions that detail how to store/dry veggies are included.

Great CSA. Better than any we were a member of when we lived in San Diego, CA. Highly recommended.

This is a great little farm. Great produce and meat, all organic. The owners are very knowledgeable about their products, and very welcoming to visitors, children as well as adults. We highly recommended you give this little farm your consideration.
