I've belonged to School Lunch Organic Farm & CSA for at least three years. I love the quality of the veg that Margaret provides. The vegetables are top notch, tasty, and world's apart from what you can get from the supermarket. I make the trip to Margaret's farm to pick up on Fridays, and I enjoy my time chatting and learning from her. She is a wealth of knowledge. I've also picked up from a local church, as she has many convenient locations. There are specialty picks at her farm sometimes throughout the season, and volunteer opportunities as well. I've never been so proud of processing hundreds of pounds of garlic before! Such a sense of accomplishment.
The 1/2 share is perfect for my little family, and I freeze whatever I can't use. I'm still using veg. from this past season in my winter dinners! It is one of the best investments I made these past years and I look forward to continuing to be a member for years to come.

I?ve gotten half-shares of produce from School Lunch Organic farm for the past two years and have really enjoyed being a part of the CSA. The produce is top notch, my partner and I have appreciated the super fresh veggies. Farmer Margaret provides a nice variety of veggies and the half-share size works well for two adults. I also really like how these past two years we?ve had the option to purchase additional veggies in the fall when the farm has had a good harvest.

For the last two years, NJIT has had a community-supported agriculture (CSA) partnership with School Lunch Organic farm in Morris County, New Jersey. The CSA summer program is run by Martin Tuchman School of Management students and offers participants fresh-picked, locally-grown produce, and recipes weekly. Through the CSA, NJIT has fostered a relationship with the farm owner, Margaret Noon, which has yielded over 150 pounds of donated produce to the NJIT's food pantry. It is important for NJIT and the Martin Tuchman School of Management to create and participate in societal impact projects, to drive positive societal change in our community. The CSA is a good example of such initiatives.

My family joined School Lunch Organic Farm?s CSA back in 2018 and we absolutely love it. It?s been such a phenomenal way to eat fresh, seasonally, and locally. We?ve been able to get a wide variety of veggies along with items we typically wouldn?t find in traditional grocery stores (garlic scapes, kohlrabi, a wide variety of squashes and leafy greens). Farmer Margaret also provides fresh herbs, the absolute best heirloom tomatoes under the sun and offers watermelon picking during the summer. Our six year old has grown up eating Farmer Margaret?s produce and we definitely attribute her healthy eating habits to the CSA. She looks forward to what Farmer Margaret surprises her with in each share and most certainly enjoys this fresh produce over the same exact items from Wholefoods. We love the variety, descriptions and recipes that accompany each share and the online community where other members post share recipes and ideas. We feel fortunate and are happy with our continued patronage.

I tried another CSA in the past, but I decided to try School Lunch Organic Farm's CSA in the past season. And oh boy, what a difference! I buy half share, and Farmer Margaret gives me a variety of fresh organic vegetables every week, while many CSA farms give the same produce week after week. She puts a lot of work to her produce, and I can taste the difference. Her vegetables are so colorful, flavorful, and stays fresh for a long time.
She also offers volunteer opportunities for non-farmers to be up and close with her soil and vegetables. I learned not only how vegetables grow but also how much efforts, hard work, and love she pours into her farm. I can definitely TASTE the difference. Not all CSA farms are created equally!
I look forward to the 2023 season.

Last season was my first with School Lunch Farm and it was a joy. Wonderful produce, responsive farmer, notwithstanding the incredible amount of work she does, and a graceful and easy pick up process. Whether you have been a CSA member for 15 years like I have, or never tried it, you will be thrilled with this one! Margaret is also generous with the community of people who have less and supplies beloved local restaurants. Try SLF!

We started 4 years and have been consistently getting a half share because we are just 2 in the household. The shares are so vibrant and fresh and full of exciting new vegetables every week. They cook beautifully and I look forward to every week to see what surprise there is in the bag. The exciting part is to get vegetables we do not get in local grocery stores or health stores. I am a health coach and for me organic fresh vegetables are the key to nutrition and good health. Farmer Margaret works hard and puts fresh produce on our table and its the best decision i made for my own health and nutrition. I am already looking forward to 2023 - whatever I don't use in a week I clean and freeze and use it all year round.

Been a member for a few seasons now and we love it. We get a half share for me and my S.O. and it is 100% worth it! I am grateful to have access to high quality, organic, seasonal veggies each week during the harvest season. Plus, the farm is so close to home. So worth the investment!
Margaret also offers opportunities to volunteer on the farm. Happy for the opportunity to get my hands in the dirt and be a small part of the process. Looking forward for the season to start up again!!

We started with a half share 3 years ago and liked it so much we changed to a full share the last 2 years. We have a family of 4 (all adults) and the share is plentiful for all of us. Each week we look forward to seeing what different produce will be in our bag. We enjoy learning about the varieties of different organic produce and enjoy researching new recipes to try. Margaret sends an email each week identifying all the produce in the bag and she shares some delicious recipe ideas as well, one of my favorites is the Broccoli Watercress Soup.

Organic produce is not easy to come by in the far west corner of Morris County. With our 1/2 share at School Lunch Farm, we got easy access to a lovely variety of organic produce, more than enough for two vegetarians. We also got to support a farmer committed to organic farming, who has rescued land that sat fallow for years and put it back to use producing real, pesticide-free food, who donates fresh organic produce to the Mt Olive Food Bank, who cares deeply about what she does and shares her knowledge about the things she grows and her passion for farming and food. School Lunch farm is a rare, true CSA. The weekly share is made up of only what is harvested at School Lunch Farm that week and each person who purchases a share truly helps the farm prosper and grow. Caring for the planet at School Lunch Farm goes beyond the growing to careful use of resources (bring your own bags, and more). A few of my favorite things from this past season: ground cherries, organic honey & baby turnips

I have been a member of School Lunch Farms CSA for 3 years now. The produce is fresh and varies. Fruits and vegetables are available. Gourmet tomatoes, many different herbs, and lettuces. My favorite are the ground cherries (they never make it home because they are so tasty) :) The farm has done programs with the Morris County 4-H and is active in the community.

I have been a member of School Lunch Farm's CSA program for 1 season. Last season I purchased a half-share and enjoyed it so much I am purchasing a full-share this season. I found the produce to be varied and bountiful and of excellent quality. Extras like honey and pumpkins were a pleasant surprise! I've participated in work days on the farm and find the growing practices to be responsible and well planned. Margaret is knowledgeable, experienced and passionate. I would recommend School Lunch Farm to anyone.

2013 was our families first season with School Lunch Farm CSA and we were extremely pleased with the experience. My kids and I volunteered a few times at the farm. The first time we volunteered, my 8 year old son planted seeds for germination. He then checked on "his plants" progress every few weeks. I grew up in a farming community and am happy that my children can now have a stronger connection to their food source through School Lunch CSA.
Each week we looked forward to seeing what we would get in our share of produce. My personal favorite was the Tuscan Kale! Being a member of School Lunch Farm has benefitted my family with nutritious food at a good value, adventures with new produce varieties and a connection with our food. We are counting the days until this years harvest starts!

My family and I have been members and volunteers at the farm for two seasons. It's great knowing where our food comes from and how it's being grown - and even better to take part in helping it grow! The variety of vegetables keeps cooking and eating interesting and the freshness is unparalleled. It's truly a gift to have this food resource in our region.

I have wanted to support a CSA for awhile and I found School Lunch Farm by accident and what a beautiful accident it was! Each week I would eagerly await what Margaret had in store for us. From the heirloom tomatoes, to the butternut squash, and to all the tomatillos in between, each share would never disappoint. The portions are more than a 2 person household can eat but I am reaping the benefits of freezing my share at the peak of their freshness. Kale frittatas, broccoli and cauliflower gratins, and each winter soup contains the organic garlic and all those little bundles of herb ~ still from the farm. This local gem is so worth the money.

This was my first year taking part of a CSA. I loved getting all of the variety of vegetables each week. I got to try new foods that I had never eaten before. The vegetables were harvested the morning of the pick up and tasted great. I will be returning next season. Margaret also gave me the opportunity to volunteer. It was a great learning experience as well.

As first-time organic CSA-ers, we've introduced new veggies into our diet and expanded our food horizons in a healthy way. Margaret and her volunteers provide a warm welcome each week and the distribution center is well-organized with a fine variety. We especially loved the baby greens and the squashes as well as the tomatillos and the fresh herbs. School Lunch Farm is truly authentic farming with only the best organic practices.

School Lunch Farm offers the high quality and variety that I want, and it feels great to eat locally grown, organic whole food. Shares are often more than my family of three can eat in a week. I also appreciate that the farmer is very organized and professional, a good manager and a good communicator. After two years visiting other farms and sampling other CSA shares, I am very happy with School Lunch Farm.

Sorry, forgot to mention I pick up at Morristown and have picked up at the farm in prior years as well.
