I have been a member of Urban Greens for a few years now, and always look forward to spring! I split a share with a friend, and still am challenged to use the amount of veggies that I receive. I love becoming more aware of what is in season, and having the opportunity to learn different ways of preparing all kinds of vegetables. The variety is wonderful, everything from arugula, to tomatoes, to butternut squash to ground cherries! I am also fully aligned with their philosophy of no-spray, and appreciate that UG is starting to be able to add employees- not only are they giving back to the community with these jobs being created, but they are teaching folks about gardening, and growing food, which is something a lot of us no longer have a great knowledge of. They do a tremendous amount with the relatively small amount of land that they have to work with, and do not disappoint!

I've been a member of Urban Greens CSA for 3 years now and every year it grows bigger, the shares get more well-rounded and the community involvement grows stronger! Urban Greens grows pesticide-free local produce and the food ranges from herbs to sweet potatoes to eggs! Ryan and the team are very knowledgable about their business and run a really reliable, professional operation!

I received a full share in 2014 as well as a dozen pasture raised eggs each week. I was very pleased with the quality of both. A full share was a little more than I needed because it is just my husband and I most days, but when I had more than I could use, I just shared with my kids or friends. For 2015 I plan to get a half share and eggs. Utilizing the CSA we were introduced to some vegetables that we did not typically eat/prepare and I considered this an added bonus. I am very happy to have a local trusted source for such nutrient dense produce. Two of my sons, one of whom is a holistic health coach, have worked on the farm and seen their farming methods first hand and also wholeheartedly endorse them. On one occassion I was not happy with the quality of the tomatos that I received because they were overpacked. I contacted Ryan and the tomatos were happily replaced the following week. An especially nice treat was when we received some homemade jam from Ryan's wife.
