I shop at Grassfields quite frequently when I get milk from next door as part of my cow share. I have tried several different cuts of their frozen beef and enjoy all of them, as well as their whole chicken. Their beef and chicken is the best I have ever had. It makes healthy eating a real joy! I also appreciate their wonderful customer service- no question is too weird or complicated!

I have an autistic child and was led to believe that they are certified organic on everything - their sign on the road makes you believe this. I was shocked and disappointed when I inquired about buying chicken feed for my own flock and found out that they were feeding commercial feed to their birds on top of certified ground! When I questioned them I received an answer that really did not give me a good feeling. They say they are using organic feed now, but I cannot trust them. Buyer beware! J

Thank you for your concern. Our signs are referring to the cheeses and farm being organic and we don't try to mislead anyone, so I am sorry that we have been misunderstood. The only thing left to convert to being all organic was the chickens. The laying hens were converted to all organic feed in 2011, the pigs and beef and dairy cows were only fed organically before that, and in 2012, everything from our farm will be fed organically (even the broiler chickens). Sorry for the confusion. Always ask if you don't know and we will tell you the truth about what we are doing.

We just did a local and sustainable dinner at the Kalamazoo House B&B in K'zoo. We served several of your cheeses including the Lamont Cheddar. We loved them and wanted to say thanks for being out there!

We are very fortunate to live about only 10 minutes away from Grassfields. We now purchase our eggs, cheese, and most of our meat from this local family. The products are great! My favorite cheese is the gouda, but I haven't met one that I do not like! On our last trip to the farm we even had the chance to see the calves that were just born. We are grateful to this hard-working family for their dedication!

While I was up at the Grand Traverse Resort recently, I tried some Lamont Cheddar along with a few other cheeses from other places. The Lamont Cheddar was outstanding -- the best cheese on the plate! I decided that when I returned home to Texas I'd look up this farm on the Internet to see if I could order from them. And that's just what I'm about to do. I look forward to visiting Grassfields in Coopersville the next time I'm in West Michigan!

We recently visited the store and were impressed with the variety of meat and cheeses. The young girl who helped us was very friendly and patient with all of our questions.

We haven't had a chance to try the meats yet, but the prices are reasonable and the steaks and burger look very lean.

The raw milk cheeses are absolutely wonderful. My husband loves the Lamont Cheddar and my favorite is the Onion Garlic which is soft, creamy and delicious.

We'll definitely be back for more!
