It is January right now and I sure do miss my farm fresh food! Having locally grown fresh veggies and eggs all summer without having to do all the work yourself is a wonderful treat! Everyone at the farm is a pleasure to see each week and the veggies are delicious!!

The eggs are Wegener Farms are so delicious. They are very rich, with dark golden yolks. The quality far exceeds anything you will find in a store or maybe even another farms. Scrambled eggs or omelettes taste as if you put milk or cream in them. These eggs are the best. I want to keep them a secret so they are always available to me, but that wouldn?t be fair. Give them a try, you will not be disappointed.
If you haven?t tried their CSA program, their produce is amazing and I highly recommend that as well.

The Wegener Farm is has great produce and eggs. I am so happy I was able to join last year and that they are at my local Farmers Market in Ortonville. This made pick up easy for their amazing subscription boxes and to purchase additional produce. I am looking forward to returning to the farm next season. I Highly recommend Wegener family farm!

I have been a member of many CSAs over the past 20 years. The Wegener Farm is wonderful and has great produce and eggs. We were so happy to have them at the Ortonville Farmers Market for easy access not only to their amazing subscription boxes, but also to be able to purchase supplemental heirloom produce from them every week. This was our first year as CSA members of Wegener Farms. We chose them because they were local and organic and couldn't be more pleased. The produce and eggs were plentiful and delicious. The staff are so friendly and accommodating. We will be permanent CSA customers going forward and highly recommend them to everyone. Also Rob Wegener's emails are very informative, timely and entertaining. God bless Wegener Farms and Family.

I've been fortunate to be a member of The Wegener Farm CSA since it's first year. All of the vegetables are so fresh and taste like nothing you can find in a grocery store. Rob finds joy in rasing healthy and great tasting food, and it shows. He sends out recipes weekly and this is a great help for trying those foods that may be new to you. I look forward to the Heirloom tomato's and fresh eggs all winter long! I enjoy coming home after a Sunday night pick up and prepping my veggies for the week. A CSA membership is an investment in the health of you and your family. I also appreciate having a personal connection to the family that is growing my food. Great food and great people!

Our family joined the CSA for the first time in 2024, and it was such a lovely addition to our summer! Rob, Cheryl, and all of their team were so kind and helpful. Our kids loved visiting the farm and learned so much about how our food is produced, and were much more interested in tasting new veggies because it was from what they referred to as the farm on the big hill. The eggs and veggies were always fresh and absolutely delicious. We did a half share, which was a good volume for our family of four - we were still able to share with friends and extended family.

I had the pleasure this year of participating in the farm and I am glad I did. The vegetables are great, good variety and fresh. I bought 25 chickens for the winter and they are delicious. Rob and Riley and their family are great people, helpful, respectful and generous. Working with the Wegener Farm this year took me back 30 years to where I grew up on a farm, eating fresh vegetables and preparing meat chickens that are full of flavor and healthy benefits. Thank you Rob and Riley for a wonderful journey this year.

2024 was the first year we joined the CSA program and we are glad we did. The different varieties of produce we were able to experience and taste was simply amazing. We loved the surprises in our boxes every week and cooking with them was even more fun. Excellent quality and can I tell you, the eggs are phenomenal. So big, creamy and full of flavor, nothing you have tasted before. There were always plenty of produce available in the box and so many extras on the table each week. We loved everything. Thinking that we have to go back to the grocery store makes us really sad. The quality is just not the same in the store than what we were able to enjoy all summer long. Rob, Riley and the entire team were so wonderful and it was a pleasure to get to know them. Humble, honest and hardworking and the most loving people you will ever meet. We can not wait for next season to start. We cooked so many new things and eating healthy will be continuing until we see you all again. You guys rock

As Rob humbly and honestly says: "The organic food will blow the doors off anything you can buy in a grocery store!", and he is just telling the truth, no bragging here! Hi farm is amazing. This year (2024) (our first year) we signed on for a 1/2 share. Next year though, we will sign up for a full share! Please know this - Rob is a wonderful, easy to like man who obviously works very hard to produce and deliver wonderful fresh, organic, locally raised produce week after week, the very best! Thank you! (We will see you next year Rob, please save a spot for us ).

I joined the Wegener Farm this spring as my first time CSA membership. It was a great experience! I was able to support local and get LOTS of fresh organic produce weekly. It really made me cook and eat outside of my comfort zone and get tons of nutrients in my diet. I shared the membership with another to offset the cost and we both had plenty of veggies all summer long!

This is my first year as a csa member and the tomatoes alone are worth the price of admission! All of the produce and eggs are fresh and tasty. Rob and everyone at the farm are very helpful and friendly. Its been a great first year and I am looking forward to next years crop.

This is our first time doing a CSA and we?ve been so very pleased. It?s been a fantastic mix of staple vegetables and specialty items we?ve never tried or cooked with before including garlic scapes, delicata squash, and tomatillos. The ample produce has really encouraged healthier eating habits over the summer. Since the produce changes from week to week, we?ve rarely had the same meal twice over the summer. In addition to the weekly box, there are always extra veggies or herbs available. Rob, Riley and the team also provide a weekly newsletter which includes wonderfully written stories and new recipes incorporating that week?s produce. There an option to add eggs as well to the box and let me tell you, these eggs are unmatched in taste and quality. It?s been a wonderful experience and I?m already dreading the return to grocery store veggies in the off season 😂. Can?t wait to sign up again next year!

Eyeballing organic co-ops and CSA subscriptions for some time, I finally decided to make the investment as I signed up last winter.
I looked forward through the bitter months of having an awesome variety of organic eggs and unique produce selections once the earth thawed and woke up again.
I?ve always wanted to keep a cool garden filled with heirlooms and a variety of off-beat and hard-to-locate varieties, but it is extremely time and labor intensive.
If this also describes you and your culinary and horticultural dreams, treat yourself to a subscription to this farm.
The farmer is a strapping, hard-working, intense, and dedicated guy, and gives an informative email each week- filled with delish recipes, tips, and humour. His team is awesome and he is always looking for innovative upgrades to his farm, processes, and already wide and diverse selections.
Pick-up is a breeze!!
Heirlooms are so great, your friends will be jealous.
Taste is so good, you?ll be so glad you made the investment

I have been a part of several CSAs over the years, and this one is by far the best. I love getting the email with coming attractions and recipes. The produce has been excellent, and the entire experience has been great!

This is my first time participating in a crop share and I couldn't be more pleased with the variety and high quality produce I get each week. What I love most is getting items I wouldn't normally buy. They do such a great job communicating the weekly items as well as links to great recipes! The 'extras' are always nice to self-select and the eggs have been delicious. I appreciate their focus on quality and providing the best experience possible for the crop share family. Will be signing up again in the future!

This was our first year being a part of this community and will definitely do again! Love being a part of a local farm and family. Every week was an adventure in us trying something new. The recipes that come with the surprise veggies made it simple for us to prepare. We would recommend joining this group to anyone. Thank you for all your hard work and effort. It is much appreciated.

This is not only a farm owned and run by a family, but it is a farm that makes its members feel like family as well. I live close enough to pick up my share each week instead of having it delivered and always feel welcome. It gives me an excellent opportunity to see first-hand the pride that is taken in the farm and its produce. The pride and care definitely come through in the quality and flavor of the goods in the box each week!

I joined the Wegener Farm CSA last year. This was such a good experience for me! The taste and freshness of their produce can't be beaten! I tried things like fresh garlic, scapes and delicata squash for the first time. Their tomato's are amazing and come in so many varieties. Rob also frequently posts recipes that go with the week's basket. My neighbor even ended up buying tomato's and eggs weekly. I have joined again this year and I'm looking forward to all the amazing fresh food. It's so comforting to know where your food was raised and that it was done with care. I know the food coming from this farm is full of nutrients and has no preservatives added. The CSA membership honestly makes healthy eating so much easier for me. I highly recommend joining The Wegener Farm family!

This was our first experience with a CSA and we truly enjoyed all the fresh, organic, in-season vegetables and greens, especially the ones we do not usually buy. It was fun creating new healthy recipes for those. The fresh organic eggs were amazing! Rob is so accommodating and generous, making pickup very convenient and often allowing us to select more produce from his surpluses. Because we travel often in the summer, we shared our membership with another couple which worked out perfectly for us all. Looking forward to what Rob has in store for us this summer!

One of the best things that happened in the summer of 2021 was joining Wegener Farms program. The freshness, quality and variety of the vegetables and of course, new vegetables that we had never tried before made dinners very enjoyable. Oh and I almost forgot fresh eggs -outstanding!

Farmer Rob is a true student of the soil biology and crop rotation necessary for a successful organic farm. He grows a lot of the staples you would expect from a farm, but he also likes to provide produce that you may not even be able to find in a store, let alone find it farm fresh. I love being able to stock my kitchen with produce and eggs from someone with such a passion for doing it the right way. The ability to eat and to share such amazing food, and to know how it is grown, makes my membership more than simply a value to me. It is a crucial supplement to my attempt at a healthy lifestyle.
