Does a great job supporting farmers and the local community as well. One of the few area organizations equally popular in the city and surrounding county, and a real leader.

I support the Rutland market because I know the quality of food that is sold there. It is first rate because the standholders are first rate! Hope this farmers market wins, they deserve it.

It has fresh, organic and locally grown food. It is YEAR ROUND. It helps bring people to our downtown and to shop at our co-op.

I support the Vermont Farmers' Market and Rutland County Farmers' Market which set up together on Saturdays and Tuesdays in Rutland. There are over 80 vendors there, with the most marvelous selection of vegetables, fruits, berries, and meats, as well as crafts and prepared foods. They continue to set up in the winter as an adjunct of the Co-op. Are we lucky, or what?

Fresh, local, organic produce; berries in season; live music; local craftspeople; free food samples; Samosa Man; Hathaway Farm beef and maple syrup; quail eggs; artisan cheeses; Vermont Candy Dish chocolate and caramel sauce; organic vegetable seedlings; perennials, etc... what's not to love about this farmer's market with a view of the mountains that's open year round?

The Vermont Farmers Market is like a beacon of light in downtown Rutland...and it's open all year round!

There is nothing better than fresh vegetables. We are so fortunate to have local farmers providing us with all these wonderful products. Our favorite is the Hathaway Farm beef and Maple Syrup, there is none better, and you just can't beat their fresh eggs!!

Fresh vegetables are great, and hard to get at grocery stores. Hathaway beef is the tastiest beef around. The rutland market is one of the best around.

We're a vendor with our great beef, maple products & fresh eggs (when we have them)so I know 1st hand how good the products are! All the vendors are fun people with great stuff. You can't beat it. The best entertainment too! Run into all your friends there!

Because local food and community are important to our economy and health. My husband and I are growers for the market and we love being a part of the local foods movement.
